we booked a private tour with Your Egypt Tours based on reviews we saw.We could not have found a better company or a better experience! Our group felt safe, well-informed and at ease throughout our trip, thanks in large part to our guides and drivers. An experience that each of us said made it to the top one or two experiences on our bucket lists.Your Egypt Tours were amazing! They not only contributed to our knowledge of Egypt's many splendours, they also made us feel special and welcome in their country.

We traveled for the first time to Egypt November 14 - 19 and spent 4 nights in Cairo and 1 night in Luxor. We had limited time and I wanted to maximize quality experiences. We have never booked full tours with a company anywhere else we have traveled, but for a bucket list trip, we wanted to be able to travel without worrying about a thing except enjoying the sites and taking everything in. And that is exactly what we got. We looked at a few different tour companies, and nothing seemed to quite fit. We really want to customize our trip and get some good advice about what to keep and what to cut from our trip. As soon as we contacted YET and dealt with Mona Hamdy, the customer service representative, we knew we were in good hands. For some reason, my initial review of pre-travel experience was removed, but suffice it to say, Mona created a detailed and customized tour for us. We used YET for everything other than booking our Cairo hotels and international airfare, so we were trusting them for airport transfers, internal CAI/LXR roundtrip airfare, our Luxor hotel (picked by us, but booked through them) and our tours in Cairo and Luxor. We couldn't be happier. In addition to Mona, everyone else at YET is simply fantastic. Our initial airport experience upon landing (after traveling for 19 hours!) was meeting Mr. Mohammed Ali, who helped us with our travel documentation, obtained our visas, aided in exchanging money and got us safely into the hands of our driver and travel liaison, Ahmed. Mohammed made everything easy and relaxed, which we so appreciated. We continued to see Ahmed over the duration of our stay anytime we had an airport transfer, and we looked forward to chatting with him, asking questions and discussing anything and everything. We did two full days of touring in Cairo with Mamdouh, starting with the Pyramids, Memphis and Sakkara on our first day and then doing the Citadel, Khan el Khalili market, Coptic Cairo and Ben Ezra Synagogue on our second day, which we finished with a felucca ride. Mamdouh was personable, approachable and engaging. We had a great experience with him. We then moved to Luxor where we toured with Alladin, doing a long list of West Bank sites on our first day and the East Bank sites on the second day. Alladin was fantastic! He is from a long line of archeologists (he grew up a 5 minute walk from Queen Hatshepsut's Temple, I mean, come on!) and his explanations and historical knowledge were unparalleled. We had the most wonderful few days with him. I could not recommend YET more highly. For those wishing to know more, the link to my trip report is posted below. As a finishing note, we felt safe, loved the food and had an amazing trip. If you have any hesitation about traveling to Egypt, do not worry. If you plan your trip with YET, you can worry even less - it will be perfect. We left a little piece of our hearts in Egypt and can't wait to return

From start to finish it was phenomenal. Our guide is an Egyptologist and his knowledge was I credible. What better way to experience the ancient sites that with someone who partipates in the digs! Very dependable service throughout. I keep telling everyone to try Egypt, you will not retreat it!

A truly wonderful tour! We did not want a lot of free time so our guides made sure to offer suggestions for additional activities based on our presences. We felt safe and cared for the entire journey. I’d recommend this company to anyone going to Egypt!

Oh, wow, indeed! Your Egypt Tours (YET) exceeded my wildest expectations for a flawless, impeccable, most enjoyable, and unforgettable tour of Egypt. I did a private, solo 8 days seven nights tour, and added Alexandria and Cairo day tours for two additional days. A friend of mine highly recommended me YET 2 years ago, he did the same types of tours. He told me that this company, the guides and everybody else were amazing. I followed his advice and booked with YET. This was the best decision I made! Both thumbs up for this company, every great thing I heard about it is confirmed and more! Everything was highest quality and rating as they were saying and advertising – the hotels, the ship, the vans they use for transportation, the food, the drivers, and…of course – the Egyptologist guides! The operations are complex to service a tourist and a lot of coordination is necessary. They deliver without any single hick up or wait! I am so thankful! Before I go through more details, I want to say that I felt safe and protected at every single second during my tour of Egypt. All my concerns and worries left me the minute I was in the YET hands, from when they met me in the airport. Everybody does everything necessary to provide safety and security – the drivers constantly being with the van and watching it, the guides who operate so well and smoothly in all crowded and diverse places that you simply follow them and that’s that. They give you great advice how to handle various places if you want to go on your own in the evening or early morning time. Mona Hamdy handled the booking process, answered all my questions thoroughly, gave me all the options and customized the tour to include everything I wanted. Everything was smooth and easy. One reviewer said the Airport service was a breeze. Indeed! Mohammad Ali met me right out of the plane and smoothly took me through the visa, passport, customs, process, to the new and air-conditioned van, straight to the wonderful hotel with great pyramid views. Now, the airport indeed is busy, and, if on your own, you would have harder time. But Mohammed made it easy, both on arrival and departure! I had two guides during my Egypt tour who made the essence of my trip – see the wonders of Egypt – most enjoyable and special. Mamdouh was my Egyptologist guide for the Cairo, Giza, Sakkara, Memphis, and Alexandria area. Ashraf was for Luxor-Edfu-Com Ombo-Aswan-Abu Simbel area and during the Nile cruise. Boy, were they wonderful! While my most generous compliments go to Mamdouh and Ash, I need to also compliment the owner of the company. He either chooses the best personalities and people for guides, brings the best experts, or provides extensive training! Either way, the result is that with YET I had the most professional, knowledgeable, cheerful, pleasant, tactful, personable guides I could ever imagine! Ash and Mamdouh are amazing – they walked all extra miles and did everything to provide amazing experience. One can’t help but feel really lucky having them as Egyptologist guides. Both tweaked the schedules when I asked if it was possible to visit other places or replace certain places. Ash treated me with a tasty lunch in Aswan and with a cake on my Birthday which was a great surprise. Mamdouh stopped in a special place in Alexandria to buy the most tasteful baklava and Egyptian deserts. I liked them so much, that he stopped again on return and bought me more! Their professionalism, their conduct, travel etiquette is impeccable and deserves highest remarks. They pick the pace of the tourist, easily adjust, sensing how much information and details are needed, they always point the most important; they are passionate and very knowledgeable. Everything seems easily achieved and on the tip of the fingers but make no mistake – it is easy because of their expertise. They are great conversationalists too – they connect with you and keep you engaged. It is never boring and never overwhelming with them – now that is art! Ash and Mamdouh are both most tactful persons you would meet. Some guides think that they need to talk all the time to the tourists to feel useful and provide value. This often tires the tourists, especially in long full day tours, depriving them of the opportunity to think, absorb, grasp the beauty and the marvel at the sites they visit. Ash and Mamdouh always gave me personal space exactly as much as I needed (are you guys psychologists?). During long drives, some guides talk endlessly with the driver, or on their phones, that again, can overwhelm tourists. I would get a headache if in such situation. I had 6+ hour drives with both of them for a single day: with Ash to Abu Simbel, and with Mamdouh – Alexandria. Neither of them did any such mistake. They tactfully kept silence when I wanted to rest. They talked only when related to the trip, quiet, and short exchanges. In general, they are excellent in attuning to the tourist’s needs and pace. This is amazing and is a skill that should not be taken for granted – it takes the right personality and years to develop it. In conclusion: I have the following advice for all of you who think visiting the incredible Egypt and getting an unforgettable experience: 1) Visit with a guided tour. Egypt is one of the countries where you do need a guide. Making on your own is very hard, take it from me who has no problem traveling solo and have driven on my own or with my family 50,000 km and visited about 800 cities and places in Europe, Asia, South and North America without guides. 2) Do book your tour with Your Egypt Tours, simply said, it is unique and the best in every sense of the word.
