Itinerary
- Day 1
Yogyakarta
You'll land at Yogyakarta International Airport where your guide meets you for the drive to your hotel. After checking in, the rest of the day is yours to settle in and get oriented.
- Day 2
Yogyakarta
Following breakfast at the hotel, you'll head out to Borobudur Temple and explore the grounds by classic bicycle with a local guide. A horse-drawn cart takes you through Candirejo Village where you can watch traditional cassava cracker making and hear gamelan music. After lunch back at the hotel, you'll meet with a Javanese shaman for a cultural reading. Dinner happens at Dalem Joyokusumo, a royal family house that serves special heritage dishes.

Yogyakarta
You'll start with breakfast then visit Keraton Yogyakarta to see the Sultan Palace's Javanese architecture and heritage. A pedicab ride takes you to Taman Sari, the Water Palace built for the Sultan's harem. Next comes a bike ride through Kotagede to observe traditional silver craftsmanship. After lunch, you'll visit Plaosan twin Buddhist temples set in rice fields, then transfer by horse-drawn cart to Prambanan temples. There you can explore the ancient Hindu temples dedicated to Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The day ends at Ratu Boko Palace where you'll catch sunset views overlooking Prambanan from the hilltop.

Yogyakarta to Bromo
After breakfast you'll head to Yogyakarta railway station to catch an early morning executive class train to Jombang. The ride takes you through volcanic landscapes across Central and East Java. Once you arrive in Mojokerto, a car takes you toward Ngadisari Village, roughly 4 hours away. Along the way you'll stop at Trowulan, the former Majapahit Empire capital, and at Pasuruan Harbour to see traditional wooden boats and fishing. You'll check in at your accommodation in Ngadisari Village at 1,700 metres altitude near Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park.

Bromo to Ubud
You'll depart very early by 4x4 jeep to Penanjakan at 2,770 metres for a Mount Bromo sunrise experience. From there you'll head down to the volcanic caldera for a 25-minute horseback ride to the Bromo crater rim at 2,329 metres. Back at your hotel you'll have breakfast and rest. Later you'll transfer to Surabaya for your flight to Bali (not included), landing in Denpasar in the afternoon. After meeting your guide you'll drive to Ubud, the cultural and artistic heart of the island, with your evening free to settle in.

Ubud
After hotel breakfast you'll step into authentic Balinese life by entering a traditional compound where you're welcomed with tea and traditional cakes. You'll watch coconut oil production, blacksmithing, hat-making, and tuak wine production while seeing woven mats being made. Try climbing a coconut tree to harvest coconuts and help with rice farming using traditional tools. Lunch is gathered at the Bale Bengong gazebo. From there you'll visit Penglipuran village, which preserves traditional Balinese house architecture, then return to Ubud with free time.

Ubud
You'll have breakfast then head out to Tegalalang to see the rice terraces. Moving on to Sebatu temple, you'll pass through scenic drives with small authentic villages along the way. You'll arrive at Kintamani, a volcanic region dominated by Mount Batur with views over crescent-shaped Batur Lake surrounded by crater walls. Lunch is a set menu at a local restaurant with panoramic lake views. Next you'll go to Tirta Empul Temple, known for its holy spring water where visitors have come for over 1,000 years, and explore the natural spring bathing pools. The evening is free back at your hotel.

Ubud to Sanur
Following breakfast you'll explore Ubud art market, Bali's most popular traditional market, wandering through aisles where local vendors sell handicrafts and spices. You'll then head north from Ubud palace for a morning walk through rice paddies, organic farms, and villages. A stop at a Balinese painter's house lets you see artwork firsthand. After lunch at a local restaurant you'll transfer to Sanur, known as the morning of the world for its sunrise views over white sand beaches. You'll check in with the rest of the day free.

Sanur
Breakfast happens at your hotel. By afternoon you'll head to Uluwatu Temple, perched above the sea on a headland at the peninsula's westernmost tip. You'll walk through a small grove where hundreds of monkeys live as the temple's believed guardians, then climb stairs to the first courtyard and continue to the highlight with sea views. In the evening you'll watch the epic Kecak dance performance, which tells the story of Rama and Shinta against a sunset backdrop. After that you'll head to Bumbu Bali Restaurant in Tanjung Benoa for a traditional rijsttafel dinner, then transfer back to Sanur.

Sanur
You'll have breakfast at your hotel and the day is completely yours to relax and explore on your own. An optional early morning Mount Batur trek is available for an additional cost if you'd like to arrange it.
