- SPSusan· July 24th, 2025We booked a tour of Lima, Cusco and Machu Picchu. This was done in the UK but outsourced locally to Lima Tours. The tours were fine, BUT my husband’s watch fell off in the mini bus in Lima (there were 9 of us in our group, all travelling together) and - rather than giving it to the guide who was going to take us to the airport to fly to Cusco the next day, they held on to it and sent a WhatsApp message to one of our group asking if it was ours. We said yes, but they then - after much to-ing and fro-ing, insisted on shipping it back to the UK for a price of $50 (initially it was going to be much much less than this but then it shot up…). We (and our new guide in Cusco and Machu Picchu) suggested that it would be better to ship it to Cusco, where we were going to be several days later. (We were not due to fly back to the UK for two weeks). The to-ing and fro-ing was frankly ridiculous and it makes me wonder if they wanted to make things so difficult that we said they could keep it (which we did in the end). It all left a rather nasty taste in our mouths. So BEWARE if you leave something behind…Show moreTrip date: July 2025
- T· July 21st, 2025The everyday tour and itinerary are overall good. The tour guide, driver, and coordinator from LimaTour were superb and went above and beyond our expectations. However, we are unlikely to book any more tours with TourRadar. First, we didn't know the TourRadar outsourced our tour to LimaTour. LimaTour met us at the Cusco airport, not TourRadar, and told us to get into their van. We, a family and friends of 4, were split into 2 groups, and remained separated throughout the tour, despite repeated requests to put us back into the same group. On the tour to Moray and Mara, the tour finished at 10:30 AM, we were dropped off in the middle of the street and picked up by another smaller car to take us to a beautiful but faraway hotel in the milddle of no where, we spent $80 soles to take us back into town to get something to eat. We didn't expect to get a different tour guide every day, we were with a different group every day, despite all, we all got picked up and transferred, no luggage was lost, that was amazing. At the end, we got picked up separately at the different hotels, and met at the Lima airport and took the same flight back. I believe LimaTour just followed the instructions they were provided by TourRadar. We just took a dream vacation at the same time, separately.Show moreTrip date: July 2025

- GMGabrielle· July 14th, 2025Enjoyed what I was able to complete of the tour. Unfortunately due to bad weather in Cusco, flight from Lima was not able to land in Cusco due to unsafe conditions and missed the tour for that day, though disappointed, the reality is to be safe. Tour guides were great.Show moreLimaTours commented on this reviewDear Gabrielle, Thank you for sharing your experience. - Traci· June 22nd, 2025Interesting Tour of Peru. Lima Tours were very well organised to coordinate a large number or different tours, with overlapping sections. This was a very different approach, and for us, it was not our preferred way to do a tour. We like being with a small group, and to have the continuity of share experiences with one group of people and if possible one guide. The guides were mostly good, but on occasion there was a large group of Spanish speakers and a smaller group of English speakers, the explanations in Spanish would last a long time, followed by a very brief English explanation, when questioned for more information it seemed that English was too difficult, so we just had the very basic explanations. Lima Tours communicated well and were very good at ensuring pick ups and drop offs went to plan, they ensured we were escorted into airports and attended to boarding passes & checked luggage which was wonderful. Our biggest concern was the altitude in Cusco. The Tour did not allow any time to adjust to the altitude, we flew into Cusco (3400m) from Lima (sea level), had a rushed lunch (as our flight was delayed by an hour), then spent the afternoon touring higher altitudes than Cusco, up to 3800 metres. We really feel that the first day in Cusco should have been a free day in order to have time to adjust to the altitude, our guide seemed surprised when we reached 3800m that we were NOT unwell, as it seems that people usually are at that point. Surely if this is common, having some free time would mitigate this issue. There was really no free time in Cusco to be had, so the tickets we were provided with that we could have used in Cusco were useless. We would very much have liked to spend more time there, but the tour did not allow for this at all. The last day was a VERY long day, with a bus then train then bus to Mach Picchu, 3 hours there (which was AMAZING!) then bus, train & bus back to Cusco arriving late at night, then leaving early the next morning to fly back to Lima. Overall the content of the Tour was great, the Itinerary was a bit disorganised and confusing as it didn’t alwaysShow moreLimaTours commented on this reviewDear Traci, Thank you for your thoughtful feedback. - Roberto· April 21st, 2025White Glove Service. We booked a 7 day 6 night Best of Peru Tour through TourRadar. All tours, hotels, car services and transfers were taken care of for us. We only had to take care of airfare and some meals when we were on our own in the evenings. Lima Tours is truly a top notch tour company. We booked a standard level tour and still felt like we had paid for a much more expensive Deluxe level tour. The hotels were great, tour guides were extremely knowledgeable, and the vehicles for transportation were all pretty new. Our largest tour was only 8 people and it was as small as just a private tour for my wife and I. On average the tour size was about 5 people including us. All of the people from the drivers, to the tour guides, to the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. They treated us like family not clients. When we switched hotels they delivered the bags to our new hotel room while we were on our tour. We didn't have to worry about anything. I would definitely recommend to anyone going to Peru to use Lima Tours to book all of there adventures. Excellent service and accommodations for a fair price. The only place I would maybe have liked to have upgraded to a Superior level hotel would have been in Cusco. Not because our hotel was not excellent but simply because it was a 7 minute walk to the main square rather than being right on the square. Just laziness after a long day of sightseeing. We also booked an extra bicycle tour for the first day since we arrived early in the morning. The 3 hour private tour was fantastic and we saw things we did not see in the Lima city tour.Show moreLimaTours commented on this reviewThank you, Roberto, for such a wonderful and detailed review! - RJRebecca· January 1st, 2025Hotels- The hotel in Lima and the one in Sacred Valley were both excellent. However we hated the one in Cusco. It had a terrible gym and the air was turned off in our room. We couldn’t sleep because we were so hot! Guides- most of the guides were really nice and informative. Their English was good. However the guide at Montu Picchu was fantastic!! We enjoyed Peru and the trip was nice. We just could have used more explanation on certain parts of the trip and how to prepaid.Show moreLimaTours commented on this reviewDear Rebecca, Thank you for your feedback. - ECEdward· October 23rd, 2024We recently had the pleasure of experiencing the "Best of Peru" tour organised by Lima Tours for TourRadar, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! From start to finish, the organisation and communication were outstanding. Every member of the staff was friendly, professional, and dedicated to ensuring we had a wonderful experience. One of our initial worries about traveling in a foreign country where we didn't speak much of the language quickly dissipated upon meeting the Lima Tours staff and our knowledgeable guides. They made us feel safe and welcomed throughout the entire trip, which truly enhanced our experience. The attention to detail was second to none. From our arrival at the airport to our departure, we felt truly spoiled. The information provided was precise and timely—everything from meeting points to collection times was communicated clearly, leaving no room for confusion. The accommodations were excellent, and the connecting transport was super efficient, allowing us to make the most of our time exploring the beauty of Peru. Additionally, the variety of activities and sights included in the itinerary were fantastic. We were able to immerse ourselves in the rich culture, history, and breathtaking landscapes of Peru. Each day was thoughtfully planned, offering a perfect balance of adventure and relaxation. We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in our trip.
