Hanoi
You'll meet your group in Hanoi around mid-morning, and after grabbing lunch, you're heading out to explore the city's key sites. The Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum exterior comes first, followed by his stilt house, then the One Pillar Pagoda and the Temple of Literature. Later you'll take a pedi-cab ride through the streets before catching a traditional water puppetry show. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Hanoi to Halong Bay
Start early this morning for the drive to Halong Bay, which takes about 3.5 hours. Once you arrive, you'll board your cruise ship and get welcomed with a cocktail and lunch. The afternoon is spent cruising through thousands of limestone islands in the emerald-colored bay. Dinner happens on board, and you'll spend the night anchored here.

Halong Bay to Hue
Rise early for a Tai Chi class on deck, then continue cruising to see more of the bay and visit one of the largest caves. Brunch is before you disembark at 11 a.m. and head back to Hanoi. You'll have pho soup, then fly to Hue. After arriving, transfer to your hotel, check in, have dinner, and spend the night.

Hue
This morning you're visiting the tombs of Khai Dinh and Tu Duc, then Tu Hieu Pagoda. After lunch, you'll tour the Imperial City, a citadel built between 1805 and 1832 that shows off eastern feudal architecture. The Dong Ba Market is also on the agenda. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Hue to Hoi An
You'll take a boat on the Perfume River to the Pagoda of the Celestial Lady, which has seven octagonal tiers and is easy to spot. The village of Kim Long is next. After lunch, you're driving to Da Nang to see the Museum of Cham Sculpture, which holds the world's largest collection of Cham art. Stop at China Beach before heading to Hoi An for dinner and overnight.

Head to My Son to see a cluster of abandoned and partially ruined Hindu temples from between the 4th and 14th centuries. You'll return to Hoi An for lunch, then explore the Ancient Town on foot, which has well-preserved buildings and street plans showing different cultural influences. You'll tour the Fujian Assembly Hall, Chuc Thanh Pagoda, and the Japanese bridge. Dinner and overnight at your hotel.

Hoi An to Ho Chi Minh City
Fly to Ho Chi Minh City and transfer to the city center for lunch. The afternoon involves touring the city to see the Reunification Palace, Notre Dame Cathedral, and Saigon Central Post Office. You'll head to Cholon, the Chinese section, to visit its market and the Thien Hau temple. Then transfer to your cruise ship, settle into your cabin, meet the crew at a welcome cocktail, have dinner, and spend the night aboard.

Cho Gao Canal to Vinh Long
Cruise through the Cho Gao Canal and see how daily life in Vietnam revolves around fishing, farming, and transport. In My Tho, visit a bee farm and have honey tea with exotic fruit. Take small sampans along the mangrove-lined canal. Lunch is on board. Later, continue to Vinh Long in the Delta region to explore a brick and pottery factory and see puffed rice, rice-paper wrappers, and rice alcohol. Spend the night on board.

Vinh Long to Chau Doc
Visit the former house of Huynh Thuy Le, the man who inspired Marguerite Duras's book The Lover. You'll have free time in Sa Dec, then return to the ship for lunch as it sets off. Continue cruising to Chau Doc, a border town between Cambodia and Vietnam that became Vietnamese 300 years ago. Spend the night on board.

Chau Doc to Phnom Penh
Have breakfast on board before arriving in Chau Doc. You'll visit the Ba Chua Xu Temple and the Tay An Pagoda. Lunch happens on board before you arrive in Phnom Penh in the evening. Take a brief tuk-tuk tour, which is the easiest way around the city. Dinner is on board and you'll remain in port overnight.

In the afternoon, you can optionally visit the Tuol Svay Prey School, a former Khmer Rouge detention and execution center, or enjoy free time at the market. Return to the ship for classical Khmer dancing and music. Dinner is on board, you'll remain in port overnight, and the rest of the evening is yours.

Arrive in Koh Chen and explore this small village where craftspeople do silver and copper work. Lunch is on board, then head to Kampong Tralach to visit the beautiful Vihara at Wat Kampong Tralach Leu pagoda. You'll cross the village along a small road through magnificent rice fields to reach the pagoda. Spend the night anchored on board.

Angkor Wat
Disembark and either take a road trip to Siem Reap through traditional villages or enjoy a morning cruise through Tonle Lake before disembarking. Visit Angkor Wat, the most famous and impressive of all the Angkor monuments and a key example of Khmer architectural art. Stroll through the Angkor Night Market. Dinner and overnight at a 4-star or 5-star hotel.

Siem Reap
