Asked on March 17th, 2024do you need to be a fairly good bike rider? I am not a great bike rider. I will be 77 years old.
- Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written March 2024
For our Cycling in Japan tour - This trip is classified as Road and Activity Level 4 (Moderate/Challenging). Good level of fitness and being comfortable on a bike is very important. Nine days of cycling. Average 37mi (60km) per day. Partial vehicle support with limited seats. We cycle more than 310mi (500km) over nine days. Moderate: 8mph-10mph (13kph-16kph). An e-bike is an option to hire. Personally if you are more of a beginner for cycling - a level 4 can be quite challenging.

Asked on June 12th, 2022Hello, what is the max # of people allowed on the tour? How many days do you cycle and how many kilometers in each day? Thank you!
- Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written June 2022
The maximum group size for this tour is 16. We cycle 9 days, with daily distances ranging from 13km to 100km. The average is 60km per day. Routes are on surfaced roads with some country lanes and cycle paths, mostly undulating with some steady climbs.

Kim
Traveler•Written June 2022Do you know how it works with the new rules about tourists required to be on a tour if we have to make our own way back? Also, we may be on another tour right before yours that ends near Kanazawa and may prefer to meet you there on day 3 rather than go all the way back to Tokyo. Would that be possible and would there be a cost reduction?
