Itinerary
- Day 1
Luang Prabang
You'll arrive in Luang Prabang and get transferred to your hotel to settle in. After dropping your bags, head to the National Museum at the former Royal Palace to check out traditional Lao artifacts, then make your way to Wat Mai temple. From there, climb Mount Phousi to see the golden stupa and catch the sunset with views across the city and Mekong River stretching out below. The evening is yours to browse handmade textiles at the Night Market.

- Day 2
Luang Prabang
Your day starts with a guided tour of Wat Sene, the city's oldest temple, followed by Wat Xieng Thong and its impressive 'tree of life' mosaic. After that, you'll cruise upstream on the Mekong River through countryside before stopping at Pak Ou Caves to see thousands of Buddha images. A visit to Ban Muangkeo village shows how local rice wine gets made. In the afternoon, you'll drive about 30km to Kuang Sy Waterfalls, passing through ethnic minority villages along the way. At the falls, you can swim in turquoise pools or walk the forest paths if you prefer.

- Day 3
Luang Prabang to Vang Vieng
After breakfast, you'll board an express train to Vang Vieng, a small town on the Nam Song River. Once you check into your hotel, you'll explore Tham Jang caves, which locals historically used as shelter from Chinese invaders. The afternoon and evening wind down with sunset views reflecting off the Nam Song River.

Vang Vieng to Vientiane
Following breakfast, you'll drive through paddy fields to Tham Phoukham caves, limestone formations surrounded by forest where you can meet local villagers and learn about their daily life. There's a natural pool in front of the caves for swimming and cooling off. Later, you'll head back to Vang Vieng to catch the train to Vientiane. Once you arrive in the capital, you'll check into your hotel and take an orientation walk through historical sites to see the French colonial architecture. The evening is for strolling along the Mekong Riverside and exploring the city on your own.

Vientiane
This day covers the major sights in Vientiane, starting with Wat Sisaket, the country's oldest temple with thousands of miniature Buddha statues, and Wat Prakeo, the former royal temple. On the way to That Luang Stupa, you'll see Patuxay Monument, which is Vientiane's version of the Arc de Triomphe. If time works out, you can explore the Morning Market and the weaving village of Ban Nong Bouathong before heading to the airport for your departure.
