- Day 1
London to Aberystwyth
Your driver-guide takes you west from London through the Cotswolds, passing rolling hills and charming villages. You'll cross into Wales at Hay-on-Wye, known as the town of books, then drive through the Elan Valley and Cambrian Mountains. The route ends in Aberystwyth, a seaside town where you'll stay for two nights.

Snowdonia National Park Excursion
Early morning takes you north into Snowdonia National Park to visit Beddgelert village and see Gelert's grave, a legendary dog from Welsh folklore. Later in the day you'll see Harlech Castle, an 800-year-old fortress built by King Edward I that offers views across Snowdonia and toward the sea. You head back to Aberystwyth by late afternoon.

Cardigan Bay to Tenby
You travel along Cardigan Bay, stopping in Aberaeron and New Quay, a harbor town with sand beaches and white-washed buildings where dolphins and whales sometimes appear. After that you go inland to either the Dinefwr Estate or Carreg Cennen Castle, then continue to Laugharne, where Dylan Thomas lived and created 'Under Milk Wood'. The day ends in Tenby, your base for the next two nights.

Pembrokeshire Coast National Park
You spend the day in Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, exploring the Welsh coastline and visiting St Davids, a small cathedral city where you can grab lunch and walk around. From there it's on to Pembroke to walk the medieval castle walls. Later you return to Tenby for a quiet evening.

Tenby to London
You leave Tenby and head back toward London, passing through South Wales industrial areas and stopping at St Fagans for the outdoor National Museum of History (public transport to Cardiff is an option if you want to explore the city). After crossing the Severn into England, there's a final stop at Castle Combe, a Cotswold village with 16th-century ironstone cottages, before arriving back in central London.
