What people love about Bali Tours for Couples
- Treasures of Bali In 8 days - Deluxe Private Tour
We had a fully guided tour through Bali. It started in the south, and the hotel in Kuta at the sandy beach was just beautiful. Our guide, I Wayan, was incredibly knowledgeable, and our driver was by far the most patient and relaxed person we have ever met. And he had to be, given the challenging traffic :-). Our stop at the Uluwatu Temple was very impressive. The site is great, on top of the steep coastline, with many free moving monkeys. Next, Melasti Beach a beautiful white sand beach and a very relaxed atmosphere. The final dinner at the beach was just a dream, with the sun going down just in front of us. The next day, we went to the gigantic Garuda statue. The whole site is great, with bizarre, rock architecture, and various other statues as well. Close by, quite some ritual dancing, and we were particularly impressed by the Barong, the incarnation of evil, and typically presented by two dancers. Really cool and very funny indeed. We then went on a cruise with dinner, and a whole Balinese sailing crew. Just great, so much fun! The next day, we went to a traditional wood-carving traditional shop, with many interesting products, followed by a temple, where we could offer sacrifices, and lunch with one of the greatest news: a very high spot that provides a beautiful side of a volcano that has just left its marks. Next, we visited a coffee farm, where they produce the legendary Kopi Luwak. Various types of coffee and tea were presented for tasting, by a very knowledgeable, local guy, very impressive indeed. Absolutely no pressure to buy anything. Finally, we arrived at the absolutely most spectacular and most beautiful hotel we have ever seen: overlooking a sheer jungle. A dream! Next day was devoted to visiting the rice terrace, unbelievably beautiful. Next, a park with a Luwak, the one producing the coffee! Sundown at the seaside, close to a monastery. Again, a spectacular view, extremely romantic indeed. Next, a temple with a museum, showing some historical highlights from the time where Indonesia was a Dutch colony. A beautiful, very old, historical temple close by. Then visit to a particularly large and high monastery, again with a very knowledgeable local guide. Followed by lunch in the wilderness and a beautiful view at rice terraces. Remarkable. Then we went to feed the fishes in another temple, and then visited a self-maintaining village and met the mayor of it, who explained how the village people make their living and live their lives, super interesting. We also went to a side, where honey is produced by particularly interesting bees, which happen to not sting people, but to produce a very dark and sour honey. So cool! then we went to another temple, which has the peculiarity of having bats to swirl around during the procedure. And this at night, this is just spectacular, such a great sight. The last day was for relaxation in the jungle-hotel and a Balinese massage. Taken altogether, this was a very unexpected, endlessly rich and impressive, and especially hyper-romantic vacation. Our guide was simply wonderful, a very open, knowledgeable expert, who was extremely sensitive to our needs and wishes. It just can’t get any better! Everyone should do that once in her life.

What our customers ask about Romantic Bali Trips & Honeymoon Packages
What's the best time of year for couples to visit Bali?
Plan your romantic Bali trip between April and October during the dry season. You'll get clear skies for beach walks and sunset watching without worrying about rain. While July and August have perfect weather, they're also the busiest months. If you want a sweet spot with nice weather and fewer tourists, go in May or September. Ubud starts your day with cool 68°F (20°C) mornings, while beach areas like Sanur stay warm at 86°F (30°C). One of our travelers said "during May or September when you can enjoy romantic beach dinners and sunset views without the peak season crowds."
What are the most scenic locations for couples photography in Bali?
Bali gives you plenty of gorgeous backdrops for couple photos. Head to the Jatiluwih rice terraces, a UNESCO site, for some really special shots. Uluwatu Temple sits on a cliff that's perfect for sunset photos. Early morning light at Ubud's Tegalalang rice terraces is beautiful, and up in Munduk you can catch misty mountain views. For something different, try Pink Beach in Komodo National Park with its unique colored sand. One couple told us, "The sunrise views from Mount Batur and the infinity pools at Munduk Moding Plantation created our most memorable couple photos."
What are the most romantic locations and experiences for Bali?
You'll find romantic spots all over Bali. Visit the peaceful Ulun Danu Temple on Lake Bratan, watch the sun set at Tanah Lot Temple, or spend quiet time on Nusa Dua's beaches. Couples really like staying at nice places like Sthala Ubud. You can get a traditional Balinese massage together, have dinner by candlelight in Jimbaran Bay, or watch the Kecak fire dance at Uluwatu Temple at sunset. The Fairfield by Marriott in Legian has rooms with great ocean views, and the Jatiluwih rice fields are perfect for peaceful walks together.
How much should couples budget for a week-long trip to Bali?
For a nice week in Bali, plan on spending between 2,000-3,000 USD if you stay at places like the Sakti Garden Hotel in Ubud or Candi Beach Resort in Candidasa. This covers about 150-200 USD daily for things to do, 50-100 USD for food, and 30-50 USD for getting around. If you want to stay somewhere really fancy like The Westin Resort & Spa Ubud, you might spend 4,000-5,000 USD for the week. As one traveler mentioned, "We found Bali offered great value for romantic experiences, especially in luxury resorts."
What cultural experiences are recommended for couples in Bali?
Get to know Bali's culture together through some special experiences. Try making traditional Canang Sari offerings in Seminyak, watch the Kecak fire dance at Uluwatu Temple as the sun sets, or take a private cooking class in Ubud. Visit the Water Palace of Tirta Gangga early in the morning when it's peaceful, or explore the traditional village of Penglipuran to see real Balinese life. Many couples like going to old temples like Ulun Danu and Tanah Lot during sunrise or sunset when there are fewer people around.
What type of accommodations are available for couples in Bali?
You'll find lots of romantic places to stay in Bali. In Ubud, the Sthala Ubud has private pool villas that look out over rice fields. If you want to be by the ocean, try the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel with its beachfront suites and couple spa treatments. For something really special, Vila Ombak on Gili Trawangan has bungalows right over the water. The Fairfield by Marriott in Legian gets lots of good reviews from couples who love the sunset views and nearby restaurants. Most hotels offer special packages for honeymoons with private dinners and couples massages.
