- Vietnam Southern Serenity 4 Days in Ho Chi Minh & Mekong Delta
Excellent trip to Vietnam! I highly encourage having a tour guide to understand the culture and interactions. Our tour guides were outstanding. We had Alice on day 1 and was sweet and caring and gave a lot of info on the history of the tour. Day 2 we had Pho/Élio and he had us so engaged with the tour with so much knowledge. He also taught us some Vietnamese words and he even sang two beautiful Vietnamese songs on the boat while drinking our coconut drinks. I will always use a tour guide and so thankful for a great trip and wonderful memories for a lifetime! Also want to thank the bus/taxi drivers and also Tony for making this whole trip happen at the last minute! Tony had great communication with me the entire time and never delayed in getting back. You guys are a great team. Thank you all!

We did the Mekong Delta tour and thoroughly enjoyed it !! Our company tour guide was a wealth of information and put a fun and humorous spin on explaining things we saw on the way and what we seen on the tour answering any questions we had and informing us.
What our customers ask about Best 3 day Tours from Ho Chi Minh City
What's the best time to take a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
Plan your trip during the dry season from December to April. The weather is most reliable then, with temperatures between 75-85°F (24-29°C) and lower humidity. This weather is perfect for activities like cycling and boat trips in the Mekong Delta, and the floating markets are especially active. Tours run all year, but one TourRadar traveler noted: "Although it was very hot and sweaty, there were plenty of rest stops and time to cool off."
What local experiences will I find on a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
You'll get to know local life through morning visits to the Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho, bike rides through coconut farms in Ben Tre, and meals with local families in their homes. These experiences give you a real feel for daily life in the Mekong Delta. One TourRadar traveler shared: "The lunch stops were at fantastic homestays where we had some of the best meals of our whole trip to Vietnam."
How many meals come with a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
Most tours cover your daily breakfast, lunch during activities, and some dinners. If you're on a cycling tour, expect 2-3 breakfasts, 3 lunches, and 1-2 dinners of traditional Vietnamese food. You'll try fresh tropical fruits and local Mekong Delta dishes at homestays and local restaurants. One TourRadar traveler mentioned: "Ut ensured we ate very well, even with one of us being vegan."
Where do most 3-day tours from Ho Chi Minh City go?
Tours mainly explore the Mekong Delta, focusing on Can Tho, Ben Tre, and Vinh Long. You'll visit the busy Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho, bike through villages in Ben Tre (where you might stay at the Ben Tre Riverside Resort), and explore quiet waterways in Vinh Long. Each day covers about 50-60km through countryside filled with fruit orchards, rice fields, and small villages.
What are the sleeping arrangements like on a 3-day tour from Ho Chi Minh City?
You can choose between staying with local families in homestays or sleeping in 4-star hotels and resorts. In Can Tho, many visitors stay at the Ninh Kieu Riverside Hotel with Mekong River views. In Ben Tre, the Riverside Resort is a popular choice. One TourRadar traveler said: "The second hotel was really quite special, more than we expected!" Whether you pick a homestay or hotel, you'll have air conditioning and private bathrooms.
How do I get from Ho Chi Minh City airport to the tour starting point?
Don't worry about airport transport - most tours include pickup service. Air-conditioned vehicles meet you at Tan Son Nhat International Airport. Companies like Vietnam By Bike and G Adventures take you straight to downtown hotels like the Elios Hotel Saigon or Ramada Encore Saigon Hotel, where tours usually start the next morning.
