What people love about Asia Tours for Young Adults
- Cambodia to Vietnam: Night Markets & Noodle-Making
I would absolutely recommend this particular tour, and g adventures in general to anyone wanting to travel. I've travelled quite a bit over the years, so was unsure about whether going on an organised tour would be too regimented, however I found this G Adventures tour to be the perfect combination. There was enough free time that you could do the things you wanted, and get away from the group if you felt like it, whilst not having to worry about accommodation or transport because it was all organised for you. Our CEO Sart was fantastic, he knew exactly what he was doing, could tell you info about the different places, but knew how to have fun as well. Be prepared for early starts- the days we set off at 9.30 were seen as a complete luxury, 7-8am was more the norm. My one recommendation if your going on this tour is ignore G Adventures advice to bring a rucksack- it's not needed, the most walking you do is about 50 metres from the minibus to the hotel..... everyone was jealous of me with my duffle bag on wheels, and you can fit a lot more souvenirs in as well! Just make sure its a squishy bag and not a suitcase, as you have to fit it in the trains and minibuses!
- Fantastic Cambodia & Thailand (4 Star Hotels)
Sadly there were things on the itinerary that were not done. Covid aside and understanding the challenges this causes, our entire day in Bangkok was not as stated in the itinerary. We did nothing, which was fine however not as stated when booked. They also changed the first night arrival hotel which was a challenge as many booked at least the night before and then had to move. The tour guides were excellent dealing w all the last minute adjustments.
- Amazing Vietnam & Cambodia and Thailand ends Chiang Mai (4 Star Hotels)
Traveling with travel talk took a lot of the stress away that you have when traveling solo with things such as accommodations, transportation, scheduling, etc. At times it was frustrating communicating with customer service before the tour departed to gather necessary information such as the tour guide’s contact info, meeting at the hotel and collecting everyone’s flight information, important info for visas - however once we got there everything went smoothly. I would have liked to have done one or two more activities each day as we ended quite early. On a few days where there were cancellations within our itinerary, there were no substitutions which would have been nice. The places we stayed were oftentimes one extreme or the other - really nice or really not the 4 stars they promised. The tour guides were great in each country - very knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. The things we did see and do really were amazing!!
