Innovative cruising

A-ROSA SENA has a hybrid propulsion system with electric and diesel engines, as well as a

battery storage, which allows for almost silent and emission-free docking in the cities.

The new ship is ideal for people who love cruising and also want to help reduce the environmental impact. The E-motion ship can come into port in an emission-free manner thanks to battery propulsion. Fuel consumption decreases and this helps keep the towns and cities en route clean.

E-Motion Ship Experience for the whole family


There is plenty of space for family time in the 21 sqm standard cabins with a balcony and the generous 28 sq m family cabins for up to five people. The A-ROSA Kids Club has its own dedicated rooms on board. Many outdoor and dining areas invite the passengers to enjoy watching the landscape passing by. Parents can take a dip in the 23 sq m pool and kids will love their separate children’s pool on deck. The spacious spa and wellness area provides nothing but relaxation. There are also a variety of leisure activities on board.

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed this beautiful ship and that our wonderful crew made your cruise special. Our concept is based on having the choice of tailoring your holiday to your wants and needs. Our guests can add optional services or save some money and enjoy having the most important features already included. We have listened to our guests' feedback, and coffee and coffee specialties will be available at breakfast. To have a live commentary of landmarks and sights along the river, we recommend downloadng the free A-ROSA app. Based on your GPS location, the app provides you with interesting information along the way. You can also use the app to view daily menus, order room service and navigate to sights on shore.

    Dear Colm, thank you for your review, we really have a wonderful crew from all over the world who work hard to take good care of our guests. A-ROSA is a German river cruise line and is popular with German guests. However, this is also why we have many guests from all over the world who value this local perspective on the European river cruises. A-ROSA cruises are based and centered around a central-European mentality and perspective, and we love to share it with guests from all over the world! If there are few non-German speaking guests on board, the crew takes care to seek personal conversations and assist with any thing, from English city maps to anecdotes on life on board. Also, announcements are always in German and English, but please note that they are not audible in the cabins (only in case of an emergency). Please send your booking reference and departure date to international.sales@a-rosa.com. We will check about your compensation offer and send it to you again. Usually, housekeeping places a compensation letter in the cabin by the end of the cruise. But we are happy to provide it again, of course. Kind regards, A-ROSA Team
