3 Days in Iguazu Falls, incl. Argentine & Brazilian Sides
Natural wonders of Iguazu Falls span Argentine and Brazilian territories over 3 days. Devil's Throat canyon, rainforest trails, and optional boat rides create memorable moments. Two nights at 4-star hotels with professional bilingual guides included.

- Day 1
Arrival & Hotel Check-in
Fly into either Foz do Iguaçu International Airport (IGU) in Brazil or Cataratas del Iguazú International Airport (IGR) in Argentina. Most 4-star hotels are in Puerto Iguazu (Argentina) or Foz do Iguaçu (Brazil). The Mercure is a popular choice among visitors. "A nice jungle setting with pool and convenient location," according to recent reviews. One tip from a guest: "Despite asking for specific room types, communication can be tricky - confirm your hotel preferences directly with the property."

- Day 2
Argentine Side Exploration
Start your day early at 8:00 AM to beat the heat and crowds. Begin with the Lower Circuit (Circuito Inferior), a 1.5-hour walk with up-close views of falls like Salto Bossetti. Take the ecological train to Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo) before 11 AM to avoid tour bus crowds. A recent visitor noted: "The views were impressive and we saw lots of wildlife, but watch out for the cheeky coatis trying to steal food." In the afternoon, consider taking the Great Adventure boat ride to get close to the falls. A helpful tip from a traveler: "They provide dry bags for cameras, but you'll get completely soaked - bring quick-dry clothes and water shoes."

- Day 3
Brazilian Side & Departure
The Brazilian side offers excellent panoramic views and takes about 3-4 hours to explore. US, Canadian and Australian visitors need a visa for Brazil as of April 2025. Plan ahead. A visitor shared: "Having a guide really helped speed up the border crossing process and pointed out the best photo spots." Start at the visitor center and take the panoramic elevator for wide views of the falls. If you have time before your flight, visit the Bird Park (Parque das Aves).

3 Day Iguazu Falls Itinerary, incl. Brazilian and Argentine Side
Iguazu Falls reveals its dual nature over three immersive days. Brazilian panoramas start the journey, Argentine Devil's Throat and Upper Circuit follow, with a leisure morning completing the stay. Optional Great Adventure boat ride and The Argentine Experience dinner available.

- Day 1
Brazilian Side of the Falls
Start your first day exploring the Brazilian side, which offers fantastic panoramic views. After arriving at Iguazu Airport, you'll need about 30 minutes to reach your hotel in Puerto Iguazu. Plan to visit the Brazilian National Park around mid-morning. Photos look best between 10 AM and 2 PM. The main walkway is about 1.2 km long, and you'll want 2-3 hours to really take it all in. "The Brazilian side gives you that jaw-dropping first impression—you really grasp the massive scale of the falls from here," according to one visitor. Visit the Floriano Fall viewpoint via the panoramic elevator early or late in the day to avoid crowds. The Bird Park (Parque das Aves) makes a great afternoon stop. It's right outside the falls entrance and features over 150 tropical bird species in walkthrough aviaries.

- Day 2
Argentine Side of the Falls
Set aside a full day for the Argentine side, where you'll find 80% of the falls and get much closer to the water. Get an early start at the Devil's Throat (Garganta del Diablo). Take the first train at 8:30 AM before the crowds arrive. You'll walk 1.1 km over the river to reach this 80-meter waterfall. One recent visitor noted: "The power of the Devil's Throat is incredible—bring a waterproof phone case and expect to get a bit wet from the mist." After lunch, explore the Upper and Lower Circuits. The Upper Circuit stretches 1.7 km and gives you views from above, while the Lower Circuit runs 1.4 km and brings you right up to the cascades. Book the "Great Adventure" boat ride ahead of time. This exciting 6 km trip takes you close to the San Martín Fall. Pack quick-dry clothes and water shoes.

- Day 3
Final Morning and Departure
3 Days in Patagonia, incl. El Calafate and Perito Moreno Glacier
A 3-day Argentine expedition features 2 nights in El Calafate and a full-day Perito Moreno Glacier tour. Morning glacier visits offer spectacular views of ice falls and calving. Package includes airport transfers and breakfast, ideal for an El Chalten extension.

- Day 1
El Calafate
Land at El Calafate airport, about 20 minutes from town. Plan to arrive in early afternoon when the winds are usually calmer for better landing conditions. Stay at a hotel in downtown El Calafate near the main street, Avenida Libertador. Take the afternoon to get used to Patagonia's weather and grab any supplies you need for your glacier visit tomorrow.

- Day 2
Perito Moreno Glacier
Your day starts at 7:00 AM sharp to avoid the crowds. The 80-minute drive follows Route 11 through the Patagonian steppe. One visitor shared: "Getting to the glacier early made all the difference - we had the viewing platforms almost to ourselves for the first hour." Dress in warm layers since morning temperatures can hit freezing even in summer. Make sure to wear shoes with good grip as the walkways get slippery. The glacier is enormous, covering 97 square miles with a front wall that towers 240 feet above the water. Take time at each viewing platform to watch for dramatic ice breaks. The sound of ice chunks falling is something you won't forget. You'll head back to El Calafate around 4-5 PM.

What people love about 3-day Argentina tours
- 3-Days Iguazu Falls Tour of the Argentinian and Brazilian Side
Simpre listen to people talk about the falls, I saw videos or pictures of friends who had gone. Until I decided to go and realized that it is 10 times better than what they say, they will see photos or listen.
- El Calafate Starter Package – 3 Days
It was good overall. However the cost only covered accommodation and transport. It should have included entrance to the park itself at least
- Magnificents Iguazú Falls - Share Services
Overall a great tour experience. The falls are beautiful and the guides are friendly and knowledgeable. My one complaint would be that the transportation and communication can leave a lot to be desired. I was originally confirmed to tour the Brazilian side after landing on my first day and then the Argentinean side the second day, but was told upon landing that I would be not doing a tour after landing and would be doing the Argentinean side and then the Brazilian side the next day before my flight out. The first day pickup was maybe 30 minutes late and the second day about an hour late, without warning, which made me worried that I had somehow missed the pickup completely.
