  On the whole the Taiwan tour was enjoyable and well planned. It was quite exhaustive covering most of the must see places in Taiwan and the stay was in very good hotels. The guide was well spoken with good command on English & was excellent and well informed and helped out in case of any need or questions. The driver was very courteous and really great driving long distances without being rash. However in Sunmoon hotel we felt that the food could have been more simplified as it was difficult to understand their set menus which had huge quantities for 2 people to consume and quite expensive on top of food wastage. We did order room service which was forgotten and then after 45 minutes of reminding finally the food was delivered but had very limited choices. On the whole we enjoyed the tour and managed to have glimpses of Taiwan as a whole. Definitely would recommend the tour which was well organised by MW tours in collaboration with Edison tours Taiwan.   Apart from a little confusion at the beginning, as there were 3 buses all from the same company, meeting at the one hotel to do the same tour, all went remarkably well! The 5 day tour was excellent with amazing hotels and choice of food on offer. The scenery was amazing, our tour guide, Ciao was fantastic, humble, knowledgeable and caring. He did a great job as did the guides on the other buses. We got back to Taipei and stayed at the one hotel and day trips were organised for us from there, which meant no packing for a few days. These day trips were interesting with more great scenery and the opportunity to sample street food, which was great! And cheap! I would recommend this tour to any who may be considering it!

  Alan Chou was an exceptionally good guide for the 5 day coach tour component. There was a 1 day tour for just the two of us up front with a free day in-between. Really a 7 day holiday with arrival and departure days making it sort of 9 days. Toroko Gorge was a highlight. Hotels were great, once you work out how to switch off all the lights. Tedious systems that would be OK in your own home once learned, but daft for such short stays. Still well worth 5 stars overall !!
