Budget Tours & Trips to Argentina Reviews
- 3-Days Iguazu Falls Tour of the Argentinian and Brazilian Side
Great company and service!
- Highlights of North Argentina
The tour was excellent. Prior to the tour Daiana was fantastic and Maria was also super helpful. We were picked up and delivered to our hotel by Sabrina who gave us lots of helpful information.our BA tour guide federico was terrific. We also really liked our hotel Hitel Classico. We then flew to Mendoza. Our pick up was great. We had a great tour to the wineries with an excellent guide. All the wineries and the lunch were very good. The next day we did the cookery class which was also fantastic. We flew to Salta. The pick up was all good and the hotel was excellent and full,of character. Tuna pick us up the next day and took us through the Andes to the salt flats and on to Purmamarca. He was great. The accommodation in Purmamarca was a great little bungalow. Happilynthe had out the heating on for us arriving as the weather was poor. We enjoyed our free day in Purmamarca. The next day Tuna picked us up to take us to Hornocal and the. Back to `salta. He is a fantastic guide. Lots of information and also very entertaining. He is an excellent driver which was needed as we came down into Purmamarca in dense fog. We flew to Iguazu. Again the pick up was great and we really liked the hotel with a swimming pool. The trips to both sides of the falls were very good indeed and the highlight was the boat ride. We flew back to BA and were picked up very efficiently. The same driver picked us up the following morning to take us to the Buquebus ferry. The whole experience was excellent. My only comment is that the hotel in Mendoza wasn’t as good as the others. Staff were very nice but the room was a bit run down. There was no fridge and the safe didn’t work. It didn’t spoil our trip at all but it was a bit below the standards of the other hotels. Overall a really good trip and we would highly recommend it to anyone else.
- Iguazu Falls on a Shoestring (3N)
A really fantastic tour of Iguazu falls! Right from the start the team were quick to answer questions and help, a big thanks rob Ignacio for everything! On arrival everything was well planned, the tours were interesting and well run with lots of time to explore, tour guides (two guides, one for Argentina and one for Brazil) were friendly and knowledgeable. The tour made entry and navigation through immigration a breeze! Would definitely recommend
What our customers ask about Budget Tours & Trips to Argentina
When is the most affordable time to visit Argentina?
Visit during March to May or September to November to get better deals throughout Argentina. Hotel prices drop and you'll see fewer tourists at popular spots like Perito Moreno Glacier and Iguazu Falls. Buenos Aires tends to be cheaper in winter (June to August) but keep in mind that Patagonia becomes harder to explore during these cold months. A TourRadar traveler shared: "Traveling in April meant great weather and better prices across the country."
Which regions in Argentina offer the best value for budget travelers?
Head to the northwest especially Salta and Jujuy provinces where your money goes further. Small cities like Cafayate Purmamarca and San Antonio de los Cobres let you experience local culture without spending much. Mendoza's wine country is another good choice with reasonably priced wine tours and places to stay. As noted by a TourRadar traveler: "Northwest Argentina provided amazing landscapes and cultural experiences at very reasonable prices."
What type of accommodation is typically offered on budget tours in Argentina?
Most budget tours put you in 3-4 star hotels and hostels. You might stay at the Hotel de Los Andes in Salta or the Novotel on Corrientes 1334 in Buenos Aires. These places usually include breakfast and sit close to main attractions. One TourRadar traveler noted: "All but 2 hostels were excellent and provided great value for the experience."
How much should I budget for entrance fees to national parks and attractions?
National park fees usually run between 20-30 USD per park. Expect to pay about 30 USD for Iguazu National Park 22 USD for Perito Moreno Glacier National Park and 38 USD for Torres del Paine National Park. A TourRadar traveler noted: "While entrance fees weren't included they were reasonable considering the incredible experiences offered."
What's the average daily budget needed for meals not included in Argentina tours?
Set aside 30-40 USD per day for meals outside your tour package. Many cities offer good lunch deals called menu del día for 10-15 USD while dinner at regular restaurants costs 15-25 USD. A TourRadar traveler mentioned: "Local food options were plenty and affordable especially when eating at the traditional 'peñas' in Salta."
What are the typical transportation costs for budget tours in Argentina?
Long overnight bus trips between major cities cost between 50-100 USD if you choose cama (bed) service. Getting around within cities is cheap at about 0.50-1 USD per ride. As one TourRadar traveler mentioned: "The overnight buses were surprisingly comfortable and helped save on accommodation costs."
