Overall I was very disappointed with this trip. I actually left the tour two weeks early (at my own expense with no refund) as it was so bad. As did another participant on this trip, Maybe if this trip was running not during monsoon it wouldn’t have been quite as bad. But travelling in monsoon was terrible. Very very long travel days due to road conditions , and we didn’t see the best of the places we visited as the mountains were in cloud.. it was not a good time for safari in Nepal either. The truck was not as I expected, it was a very old, Dragoman truck. It was very uncomfortable, it leaked, all my pack got wet in the truck and it couldn’t go fast so this just made the travel days super long. The hotels were very basic (apart from Bhutan) the breakfasts were just awful and it was hard to eat healthy. We often had little or no time to eat so ended up snacking on crisps and coke .. really not good. It didn’t help that our tour leader hadn’t been to India before and I personally felt she did not dress appropriately some days for local sensitivities. I sure that didn’t help our very long border crossing into India. On a more positive note, our driver Steve did a good job navigating the treacherous road conditions and Leanne in the office was lovely to deal with before the trip. But overall I was. very disappointed this trip and I won’t be travelling with this company again.
