What people love about Explorer Tours from Vienna
- European Charm
Excellent tour at a great price. You get what you pay for. A 4 star in Central Europe is not like one in the states. It was exhausting, but I was able to visit 6 countries in 9 days. I’m not complaining about the pace at all. Just be ready for a lot of walking and bus trips. Also, my tour was in both English and Spanish. So people found it annoying, but I was fine with it. It is clearly outlined in the materials. I was fine with it. To no fault of their own, I missed my connecting flight, so I missed my transfer to Vienna. The tour company was very good about making sure I arrived safely to the hotel (The RAINERS HOTEL VIENNA) It was my least favorite hotel. Air flow only. It was a hot day. It was miserable. I couldn’t sleep. There is a bus nearby if you would like to go to the city center. It’s not in a great location. There was one incident with a guide.I’ll call him JA. JA was very rude to me at the beginning of his portion of the tour. I was a solo traveler. I paid more for the trip, which is standard practice. JA announced to the bus that solo travelers should move seats in order to let the couples sit together. There were plenty of seats. I was one of the first ones on the bus. I paid for my trip like everyone else. If you are last on the bus, you get what you get. JA wanted me to move, but I told him I did not want to. He said, “Thank you for your kindness.” This infatuated me and ruined my trip for a few hours. I contacted the company as soon after the incident occured. They replied very quickly. It was a long, detailed response. I found it acceptable and moved on. JA was a knowledgeable guide, but needs to learn that he cannot treat people in that manner. Toni deserves a raise. I wish he could have been our guide through the trip. You must know that tour guides change as well as passengers. Some start at different locations and end at different locations. The diamond tour in Amsterdam was unnecessary. They should give you more free time instead of going to this. It was a marketing thing. They just want you to buy expensive items. Overall, great value for your money. Awesome sites. The guides were informative The company is very professional. . It’s a trip I won’t forget. I would travel with them again. I recmmied booking the tour.
