What people love about Seoul Tours
- Uncover Korean War History DMZ Tour
Gina was an excellent and knowledgeable tour guide. We all appreciated authentic, complimentary Korean snacks bought by her. The tour itself was well paced and very informative. I would highly recommend this tour and if time complete a longer tour with Hana ITC to include airport pick up and drop off, this tour and 7 day wellness tour with Je Ju island.
- South Korea Western Adventure 3D/2N
I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to see nearly the entire country in just 3 days. Our tour guide Justin was absolutely fantastic. He knew so much history and interesting facts, and even drew us cartoons of our trip. We started this tour on our first day in the country and it was very nice to be able to sit back and relax while seeing lots of sights. Highly recommend!
- South Korea Circle Adventure 5D/4N
The itinerary included a good variety of historic, tourism, and sightseeing stops. Justin was very knowledgeable, accommodating and fun! The hotels were nice and the food was included food was fine. Justin had excellent suggestions for activities and restaurants during free time. The bus was the only disappointment as it was unbearably hot in the rear of the bus while other passengers were comfortable. The bus was also in dire need of new shock absorbers as each bump would cause bodies to lift iff the seat and land very hard.
What our customers ask about Seoul Tours & Trips
What's the best time of year to visit Seoul?
Seoul shines brightest during two distinct seasons. Spring (March-May) brings pink cherry blossoms to Gyeongbokgung Palace and Namsan Park while autumn (September-November) offers clear skies and comfortable temperatures for exploring. Summer months see temperatures climb with frequent rain while winter brings cold temperatures but transforms places like Cheonggyecheon Stream into light-filled wonderlands. The Lotte Hotel Seoul welcomes guests throughout the year with climate-controlled comfort. A recent visitor shared "The spring weather was perfect for exploring the palace grounds and outdoor markets."
What are the must-visit historical sites in Seoul?
The city's heritage comes alive at several key locations. The UNESCO-recognized Gyeongbokgung Palace hosts daily Royal Guard ceremonies while Bukchon Hanok Village preserves more than 900 traditional Korean homes. Visitors can explore Jogyesa Temple to understand Korean Buddhism or wander through Changdeokgung Palace's Secret Garden. A recent visitor noted "The tour was a wonderful introduction to Korean culture the palaces were absolutely magnificent and our guide provided excellent historical context."
How many days should I spend in Seoul to see the main attractions?
Plan for 5-7 days to experience Seoul without rushing. The Ancient South Korea tour dedicates 3 days to city highlights like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Village. Additional days allow visits to nearby sites such as Suwon's Hwaseong Fortress and the Korean Folk Village. The schedule balances modern attractions like Seoul Sky Observatory with traditional sites. A visitor reflected that their week-long tour provided "great value for money" while covering major attractions and leaving time for shopping.
How can I visit the DMZ from Seoul?
DMZ access requires booking through licensed tour operators with advance passport submission. Tours leave from central Seoul hotels including The Plaza Seoul and take about 6 hours. Visitors see the Third Tunnel of Aggression Dorasan Observatory and the Joint Security Area. According to a recent guest: "The DMZ tour was a highlight of our trip offering fascinating insights into Korean history and current relations."
What unique cultural experiences can I have in Seoul?
Seoul presents countless ways to connect with Korean culture. Join tea ceremonies in Insadong try K-pop dance classes in Hapjeong or stay at mountain temples outside the city. Visitors can wear traditional Hanbok at Gyeongbokgung Palace learn Korean cooking at Gwangjang Market or experience singing bowl meditation at local temples. A guest noted "Learning K-pop dance moves and having tea with a Buddhist monk were incredible authentic experiences that I couldn't have arranged on my own."
What's the best area to stay in Seoul for first-time visitors?
The central Myeongdong district serves as an ideal base for newcomers to Seoul. The Westin Josun Seoul provides upscale accommodation here with easy access to shopping dining and public transport. Consider Insadong for its cultural atmosphere or Hongdae for its vibrant nightlife and youth scene. As one visitor noted: "Staying in Myeongdong was perfect - we could walk to many attractions and had endless dining options."
