Madrid

Madrid to Seville (via Toledo)

Drive 1.5 hours to Córdoba to see the Mezquita-Cathedral. A good tip is to visit between 2-4 PM when most tour groups stop for lunch. From there, it's a 2-hour drive to peaceful Baeza for two nights. Use the next day to explore nearby Úbeda and visit local olive mills. Schedule olive tastings in the morning when your taste buds are most alert. This area makes some of Spain's best olive oil.

Granada
After a 1.5-hour drive from Baeza, spend your first evening walking through the old Albaicín neighborhood. Book the earliest possible slot (8:30 AM) for your Alhambra visit to avoid crowds. You will need to book Alhambra tickets about 90 days in advance since they sell out quickly. Bring comfortable walking shoes. The palace grounds have lots of steps and uneven cobblestones.

Caminito del Rey
You need to book this clifftop walkway ahead of time. The hike takes about 3 hours. Wear sturdy shoes with good grip and bring a light jacket since the walkways can get windy even in summer. Afterward, drive an hour to Ronda.

Ronda & Sierra de Grazalema
Plan a full day of hiking in Sierra de Grazalema park. Start the 4-hour Benaoján trail early to beat the afternoon heat. On your last full day, explore Ronda's famous gorge and bridges before driving 2 hours back to Seville.

The tour was great! It was very well paced and gave us enough time to see important sites and enough time for down time and personal time. The accommodations in Seville were terrible! The hotel and the furniture were in very poor run down condition. We were scared to take a shower in the bathroom because it wasn't clean. The beds were hard, and it was inconvenient to get to the room. I think that there could be more order and organization in the morning when leaving Hotel Praga especially when it comes to assigning buses and combining groups. All the tour guides we had were knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive.

Siri was an excellent guide. She was passionate, knowledgeable, compassionate, competent, and fun at the same time. I would love to go on another tour with her in the future. The itinerary was good with enough free time. The hotels were all very satisfactory as well. Overall I would recommend explore to my friends.

The itinerary was excellent. The only reason we have it a 4 vs a 5 is that we paid for 1st: “superior” hotels and , a- a couple of the hotels like the Novotel and the Hilton Garden Inn did not have appropriate AC and the bathroom were not as clean as expected; and b- others that did not pay for superior rooms sometimes did stay in better hotels. The folks rating the hotels should have higher standards.
