Athens, Santorini & Mykonos Tour - 7 Days - - R

The overall experience was nice with having private drivers, however a few things could have been explained a bit better. When arriving at the port, a gate assignment would have helped for the ferry. Maybe a link to the Sea Jet website? The motel in Mykonos was vary dated, with broken furniture, and light fixtures in the room. It was also a very long way from anything if you were walking. It was quite remote, and probably one I would have never considered as the port and restaurants/ shops were all 2.5 miles away.

This tour was amazing. Had the best time. It was awesome, but too short because I didn’t wanted to be over yet. Seen so much beautiful places and the tour guide Keira was the best. This was my 3th tour with trutravels and definitely going to book with tru again!

Best tour companies for Mykonos tours
From what our travelers tell us, Travel Zone delivers a premium experience with carefully planned itineraries and upscale hotels, though you should factor in some longer ferry rides between islands. Their attention to detail and solid customer support make them popular with guests who want everything handled professionally. If you prefer exploring at your own pace, Dot Travel Greece has got the logistics sorted - they'll arrange your transfers and hotels but leave you free to wander and discover. They're quick to respond if you need them, which our independent travelers really appreciate. For those who love meeting new people, TruTravels runs lively group tours that hit all the right notes. Their guides Keira and Will get constant praise from guests for making everyone feel welcome while sharing deep local knowledge. They've got a knack for turning a group of strangers into friends by the end of the trip. WingBuddy offers good value and reliable transfers - they'll get you where you need to go on time. Just keep in mind that some of their hotels are more basic than luxury. Their prices are competitive and transfers run smoothly, but if high-end accommodations are a priority, you might want to look at other options.

Best time to visit Mykonos
- Winter 2025 / 2026
Winter tours in Mykonos blend cultural experiences with indoor activities and island charm, letting you explore at a relaxed pace. Our multi-day trips combine Athens visits with Mykonos stays, so you'll see the Acropolis before catching your morning ferry to the island. What our travelers love most are the guided walks through Mykonos Town's narrow lanes, followed by wine tastings at local vineyards. You'll sample traditional Mykonian sausages, regional olive oils and then experience live Cycladic music played on tsampouna and lute. The tour schedule thoughtfully mixes visits to cultural sites like ancient Delos with indoor activities, which works perfectly during cooler days. The hotels are positioned right in town, making it simple to return to your room between outings. Our customers tell us how the winter timing means more space at each location without summer crowds, while transfers between Athens, Mykonos and also Santorini run smoothly with seasonal adjustments in mind. The catamaran trips around the caldera come with hearty BBQ meals and heated indoor spaces, perfect for comfortable winter sailing.

- Spring 2026
Spring's really nice for Mykonos tours - the weather's just right and you won't bump into crowds everywhere. We've got these popular combined tours that take you through Athens first, then over to Mykonos and Santorini. The morning setup works perfectly in spring: you'll start with a guide at the Acropolis, catch an early ferry to Mykonos and get to walk the streets while they're still quiet. Our travelers tell us they love getting into the food scene this time of year - there are these great wine tastings at local vineyards, fresh olive oil sampling and you can try local Mykonian sausages while locals play traditional music. Walking through Matogiania's much more relaxed than in peak season and you'll get better photos at Little Venice since it's not packed with summer visitors.

- Summer 2026
Summer on Mykonos mixes culture with plenty of beach time and nightlife. Paradise Beach Club's a big hit with our customers - you can swim all afternoon and stick around for sunset drinks. The tours that work best start with morning sightseeing then leave afternoons free for finding quiet beaches or jumping on boat trips to more secluded spots. Having organized transfers makes a real difference in summer - our travelers appreciate not dealing with crowded ports and scarce taxis during peak season. We've got these morning trips to Delos island that let you check out the archaeological sites before it gets too hot.

- Fall / Autumn 2026
Mykonos shines in autumn with tours combining cultural depth and laid-back discovery. Multi-day trips typically start from Athens, crossing over to Mykonos where calm mornings set the perfect scene for exploring Matogiania's winding lanes. The island's food scene hits its stride this season, and our travelers especially enjoy tasting native Parian and Moschofilero wines at local vineyards, paired with premium olive oils, regional specialties and also house-made Mykonian sausages - all while local musicians fill the air with Cycladic melodies. Seven-day itineraries prove ideal, giving visitors a mix of guided sessions and free time to wander. Our customers often mention how peaceful it feels to capture Little Venice without the summer masses, with smoother transfers thanks to calmer ports. Many tours combine morning expeditions to ancient Delos with afternoon wine experiences, taking full advantage of autumn's mild temperatures.

What's the most efficient way to explore Mykonos and its surrounding islands?
You'll find Mykonos offers a perfect mix of independent exploration and organized tours to fit your style. Getting around is easy with water taxis running just €2 each way between Mykonos Town and the popular Paradise and Super Paradise beaches. The charming streets of Mykonos Town are best discovered on foot letting you wander at your own pace. When you're ready to dive deeper into the region's history take a guided tour to Delos Island where you can explore archaeological treasures like the famous Gate of Lions at the Delos Museum. Want to see more of the Greek islands? Regular ferries connect you to other Cycladic gems like Santorini and you might want to consider a 7-day tour package covering Athens Santorini and Mykonos.
How can I avoid crowds and make the most of my time in Mykonos?
The secret to experiencing Mykonos without the tourist rush is timing your visit just right. Plan your trip during shoulder seasons - spring or fall work beautifully with September and October being particularly pleasant. You'll want to plan your beach visits around cruise ship schedules to avoid the busiest hours. Early mornings in Mykonos Town offer peaceful exploration opportunities perfect for capturing photos of the island's 16 historic windmills without fighting through crowds.
What are the key transportation hubs in Mykonos and how do they connect to different parts of the island?
Getting around Mykonos is pretty straightforward with two main ports serving different purposes. The New Port handles most ferry and cruise traffic while the Old Port sits closer to Mykonos Town. Water taxis connect these ports to popular beaches and public buses offer budget-friendly routes throughout the island. For maximum flexibility you can opt for private transfers rent a car or zip around on ATVs. One traveler's experience highlights the importance of smart transport choices - they switched from an all-day ferry to a quick flight from Santorini to Athens saving precious vacation time.
