Dear Terry, We were quite surprised by your negative review, as we supported you throughout your entire trip and responded promptly to every single message. Your package included hotels, tickets, a guide in Athens with entry tickets, ferry tickets, and transfers. As for the hotels, you were informed one month in advance about the bookings we had secured for you, and at no point did you raise any objections. When you expressed dissatisfaction, we showed good will and, even at the very last moment, we refunded you part of the cost for the Athens hotel. In addition, you mentioned that the hotel in Santorini was perfect, so we cannot understand the harsh criticism regarding this. Regarding the guides, you had the option to select private guides and additional services, but you never requested this nor informed us that you wanted anything extra. As for the return tickets, you were aware of your flight time. If you had informed us that you wished to return earlier, there would have been no need to purchase new tickets on your own — we could have simply changed the time of your existing ones. Daniel, The fact that you chose to post your review on every available online platform — despite not having made your booking through any of them — clearly indicates a targeted intent to discredit our company. Your actions go well beyond the bounds of fair and constructive criticism. It is also noteworthy that your review appeared shortly after you contacted the Mount Athos service provider, requesting an official statement claiming that this part of the trip did not take place — a request that does not reflect reality. After he reasonably declined to provide a false statement, you directed the same request to us. As the Mount Athos program was indeed completed, we provided you on 13th June with a certificate reflecting the actual cost of the program. Immediately after receiving the document we provided in good faith to assist you, you proceeded to publish your review across all platforms. As for the Mount Athos provider —you had personally chosen to work with this provider directly five years ago during your initial request, and agreed to deduct your previously paid deposit to avoid any issues — we fully covered his costs and personally communicated to ensure the itinerary matched your preferences. He responded promptly and executed the program successfully. Your only direct communication with Athos Tours before your trip concerned the ferry schedule — which we had already provided — and your dietary preferences. Upon your departure from Greece, you sent them a request to issue a document stating that the trip had not been completed, simply because you returned to Ouranoupoli on the midday ferry after the afternoon ferry was canceled due to windy weather. They refused to issue it because the program was fully completed. Also at the end of the program, kindly offered to stay with you in Thessaloniki, serve you a meal, and personally accompany you to the airport so you wouldn’t be left alone. Αll archaeological sites and museums included in your itinerary were open and accessible, as we had confirmed in advance. The confusion arose because you had mistakenly consulted the winter opening hours during your research — a point we immediately clarified for you. The only exception was one museum, for which the schedule had changed. This adjustment was made to your itinerary before your arrival in Greece and did not cause any disruption to your program. The driver who accompanied you — despite his many years of experience — returned feeling notably strained, as you repeatedly asked to revisit the same sites, forgetting you had already been there. Nonetheless, he remained professional and carried out your itinerary in full, never voicing a single complaint to you. He did, however, share his experience with us, though we chose not to inform you, in order to avoid making you feel uncomfortable. Additionally, although you were fully aware that gratuities were not included in your travel package, you chose not to offer any at all. You also omitted to mention in your review that we provided you — at no extra charge — with services such as the guide for the hiking tour. You initially expressed your gratitude for this gesture, yet a week later, you asked for the guide to be removed in order to lower the total cost of the trip. However, there was no amount to deduct, as this was a complimentary service offered to enhance your experience. Your only real issue appears to have been the cost of the trip — which you were clearly informed of and had accepted in full. We reminded you of this multiple times before your booking was confirmed. The prices of our local partners are based on specially negotiated agreements that are not publicly available. Our team worked with consistency and dedication to organize your trip. We responded promptly to every email and phone call — even late at night or early in the morning. We addressed each of your questions with politeness, even when they were repeated multiple times. The program was carried out smoothly, and from the beginning, you had access to our emergency contact numbers as well as those of our partners. We treat our clients with seriousness and professionalism, as evidenced by the many positive reviews we have received.
