Itinerary
- Day 1
New Delhi to Shimla
You'll be picked up from your New Delhi hotel early in the morning and taken to New Delhi Railway Station. From there, board the high-speed Shatabdi train heading to Kalka, which takes about 4 hours and includes breakfast service on board. Once you arrive in Kalka, you'll transfer to the toy train (Himalayan Queen) for a scenic 5.5-hour journey through the mountains up to Shimla. After checking into your hotel, you'll have the rest of the day to rest and settle in.

Shimla
Today involves a guided walking tour through Shimla's historic lanes where you'll see Victorian, Gothic, Georgian, and Tudor architecture throughout the Heritage Zone. Your local guide will take you to landmarks like Christ Church and the Viceregal Lodge, sharing stories about the colonial era and what shaped the town. The walk gives you a solid sense of the area's British heritage and how it's still visible in the buildings and streets today.

Shimla
This day is yours to spend however you'd like. You can walk along Mall Road and browse the shops, or just take time to relax and enjoy the views of the snow-capped Himalayan mountains and the surrounding pine and oak forests. It's a chance to move at your own pace without any scheduled activities, so you could grab lunch somewhere local or simply find a quiet spot to sit and take in the scenery.

Shimla to New Delhi
After breakfast, you'll stay at your hotel until around noon before checking out. You'll then drive to Kalka Railway Station and board the Shatabdi train back to New Delhi for the 4-hour return journey, with dinner service included during the trip. You'll arrive in New Delhi in the evening where your tour representative will meet you for transfer to your hotel or to the airport, depending on your plans.
