- RRobin· December 1st, 2022Let's see: The alleged 4* hotel was anything but, with uncomfortable beds, little room to open a suitcase, a closet with no hangars, threadbare towels and no towel hooks on which to dry used towels, a TV that failed to work, as well as the bedside light which was broken. That was just the beginning. The first day was a lost day as we had not been sent that ACTUAL itinerary; we waited in the lobby for a pickup between 8 - 8:30, not knowing we should have been ready at 6 or so. Each day brought a new group of travelers, along with a new guide. So we never got to know anyone on our "tour". I use the word "tour" loosely, as despite my having booked through TourRadar and Booking-Tours.com, our daily buses and guides were provided by Bein Hareim (sp?). Who is Bein Hareim? If they did the work as a subcontractor, what the heck did Booking-Tours.com do? They were nothing but a middle man it seems, catching some of the dollars as they flew by. Best of all, the last part of the trip to Jordan (Petra and Aqaba) was nothing short of near disaster, as we were nearly stranded at the border crossing. I gave 2 stars for the sole reason that we came home alive.Show moreTrip date: November 2022

- Max· June 15th, 2019You put us in the absolutely appalling hotel ADDAR in Jerusalem. This was in the Palestinian area so caused problems later going through Israeli security for internal fight but that is minor compared to the appalling condition of the hotel. Our first room (16) June 7-10, had a connecting door to another room that anyone could have come through. We had no safe. We were on the ground floor with a wide communal patio outside our patio door. The security screen on the patio door did not work and could not lock, the internal patio door lock could be easily overcome just by using the door closed then open again. The bed linen was dirty and one of the sprinklers was falling apart. We discovered that there were links on various floors and corridors linked to the sprinkler system. We complained immediately and they said they would try to move us the next morning. The next morning we took all our valuables with us to the breakfast room. The floor in there was filthy with old food droppings. Breakfast was some stale bread you could toast and the coffee was undrinkable. We reminded them they were going to swap our room. I then went online on to my Trip Adviser blog and slammed your company for putting us there and listed the faults. I then went online to your company directly and complained. We went on our tour and came back to find they had swapped us to Room 45 upstairs. OK it looked nicer but there was a cracked mirror and a light fitting cover was missing which exposed the lamp housing at head height. Despite pointedly complaining about the mess on the floor of the breakfast room, it was just as dirty on the subsequent two mornings. Staff were defensive but didn't make any real effort to care for the building or keep it clean. On the third day when we arrived back from our tour we found nothing had been cleaned in Room 45 and dirty towels and cloths were left on the bathroom floor from a guy adjusting the air conditioning. It is really important that you understand that you cannot pass responsibility for this onto Bookingtours.com, you sold us the tour and I paid you, therefore you have a responsibility to ensure the quality of the product with them. That is a management and quality oversight failure on your part. We did also complain to Bookingtours and asked them to remove the ADDAR from their list.Show moreBooking Tours commented on this reviewDear Toby. Thank you for your feedback. After reading all very carefully is our understanding that the main concern was the hotel. We use this hotel often and did not receive any complaints. and as we see this as a very serious issue we will take... Show moreTrip date: June 2019

- BOBoris· January 2nd, 2018All tour guides were amazing and knowledgeable of their subjects. Accommodation was well below expectations: The first hotel in Tel Aviv (Amorn) had water leakeages; the hotel in Jerusalem lacked warm water; the hotel in Eilat had no COLD water, which made it very difficult to shower without burning, and the bed sheets had holes in them; the hotel in Petra had leaking pipes, no shower curtains, and electrical connectors did not work. Your organization definitely needs to review its hotel booking practices and check that hotels are actually in working order. For the price I paid I expected at least clean places with working pipes, clean sheets and proper water. Most transportation arrangements were fine. Even though the return from Petra was late and I missed the flight back due to that, the guide did his best to re-arrange transportation, staying up until midnight to ensure that everything went fine afterwards.Show moreTrip date: December 2017

Asked on July 7th, 2022I am looking at the tour 10 days Israel with Petra and have couple of questions, regarding customisation of the trip. I don't have airline tickets yet, but planning to arrive October 18-20 and planning to start the tour day after. I need to know more regarding hotel choices and last leg of the tour - Petra- Ben Gurion. Can the return tickets from Eilat to Tel Aviv be pushed back couple of days? I want to add 2 days to Eilat stay?
- Booking ToursOperator•Written July 2022
Regarding your question, if you can arrive and start the tour a day after or 2 days after, sure you can, you can arrange a transfer to your hotel, or you can add extra nights with us in the same hotel that you will stay during the tour, and same at the end of the tour. We can arrange back flights from Eilat to Tel Aviv a few days after, you can stay in Eilat, please note that the transportation from Eilat to Ramon airport will not be included, as it will be private transportation after the tour.
