The breadth of experience and our tour guide Jamal were amazing. Jamal was so friendly, professional and flexible. He is a credit to the company and went out of his way to accommodate the itinerary to what we wanted to do. Lovely to have a private tour, in our own car! Highlights were definitely Petra and the Dead Sea. The hotel from which you access the Dead Sea is lovely and very comfortable. There are a couple of things that could really be improved upon and I hope Booking Tours take these on board for future customers. Booking Tours should provide more information about border crossings and what will happen/what to expect. We were picked up at 6am for the crossing at the Allenby Bridge (our tour included a Jerusalem to Jordan transfer). We were there by 6.45am but the border did not open until 8am on the Palestine side and they do not process tourists on the Jordan side until 9.30am! Our driver did not even know this himself. So we had a 85 min wait at the Palestine security with no facilities like a toilet. Then a further 90 min wait until we could get a bus from the Palestine border to the Jordan border. We did not know we had to get a bus between the borders either which would have been good to know in advance - luckily a friendly local told us. Until then we were on the Palestine side wondering where our tour guide was! Ultimately we could have slept longer, the wait was frustrating and not knowing what was going on caused unnecessary anxiety. The other issue was Hillawi Desert Camp. If you are booked in to this place then cancel! You could not pay us to stay here again. They played ridiculously loud music until beyond midnight. I'd imagine it was like trying to sleep in a club toilet!! A pack of dogs started howling/barking at 4am too so we were exhausted after one night here. Husband also had bites on his head and neck which came up later on the day we checked out - very much suspect it was from the camp's pillows. We were expecting a peaceful stay in the desert camp to see the stars etc and were so disappointed. Happy to accept basic accommodation camping in the desert (which Hillawi definitely was) but the whole experience was simply awful. If you fancy a rave then go here, if like us you want an authentic experience in the desert then request to stay elsewhere for your desert experience! If it wasn't for the desert camp and lack of border information then we would have scored this tour as a good/4 stars.

The tour was very organized but the guide wasn't very good and they promised 3 star hotels and sent us to sleep in the middle of the desert in a "hotel" that didn't even have a lock for the "room" or even floor. The 3 star hotel was camping in the sand. That wasn't what we were promised.

Hello, Uriel. Thank you, for leaving a review. Please, note, that itinerary, we sent you - had it written ("Overnight stay in Wadi Rum (Hillawi Desert Camp Half board)") and was confirmed by you.
