- Nico· February 27th, 2025We decided to choose swastik to to the vast amount of positive reviews. While I didn't find a tour I would like to do in timings, cities, and days, we decided to ask for a custom tour. Like this we plan half of our trip so we get an idea of how to go around India and then continue on our own. Karni our tour operator was very responsive and help us a lot better fire and after the trip. As we asked to go around with train, he booked us AC2 tier places in beds from Delhi to varanasi and EC chair from varanasi to agra. We booked for 3* hotels and this was the only complaint, as the hotel in varanasi and Agra were not that clean, while the 4* they booked for us in Jaipur was super nice. Standards in India are not the same. So that's why I would not blame the operator. For information, towels seemed clean and smell clean, but many of them had huge stains, that don't go out after a washing. In our sheets we found hairs, which I want to believe is not because th ey did not change them, but rather from drying it outside. Our drivers were all nice and accompany us throughout the trip, picking us and letting us from every train station, helping us find the correct coach. The guides some were good others were less good. Our guide in Jaipur was knowledgeable and gave us many information, us our guide in Agra. For varanasi, we were there during a holy festival so everything got tricky, and we stayed not that much with the guide to judge. In Delhi he was also nice and friendly. We much appreciated the trip and the organisation. Thank you KarniShow moreTrip date: February 2025
- JJeanne· February 17th, 2025Our driver Vishnu who took care of us provided a fantastic service( 9 stars). He is professional, explained sights on the way, ensure our safety, helpful and polite. However there are 3 issues that we are not happy with: 1) Every city that we visited there is a must for us to visit a local handicraft and being pressured to purchase an item. This was not listed in the itinerary. 2) All the guides were knowledgable, professional and polite except for the guide at Fatephur Sikri. He was rushing us around, not giving us time to appreciate the view and take pictures( the whole visit took 30 minutes). Explanation was brief and told us to hurry up otherwise we will missed the Tal Mahal visit as it was be closing soon. But he insisted that we spend time looking at the shops there when on one hand he is telling us to hurry up. Then he demanded for tips which the other guides did not. 2) As our tour included a visit to Varanasi, upon arrival at Varanasi airport there was no driver or pick up agent on sight. We wait for 20 minutes before to text our driver from Dehli (Vishnu) to ask him for help. Only then did the driver called me to inform that his car has broken down and asked us to take a taxi which we insisted no we don't speak Hindi and does know the name of the hotel and the route. Finally after holding our ground, he send a car with a driver who could not understand English and only arrive 1 hour after our arrival time. Fortunately for us, our Dehli driver (Vashnu)went out of his way to help . Otherwise we would stranded at the airport. In Varanasi we have 3 drivers who hardly understand English compared to 1 driver for 6 days in other cities. Finally our Varanasi visit was a disappointment. The aarti show was cancelled but otherwise it was a good trip for the other cities. JeanneShow moreTrip date: February 2025
- Rita· January 15th, 2025Great value for money, highly recommend it to explore the main highlights in India without hassle. The tour is very well organised (booked it less than 2 weeks before departure), communication with Karni is super fast, efficient and smooth. The pace is well balanced: sightseeing in the morning and resting/ driving in the afternoon. Hotels are quite nice; far from the city center but this is the norm in these tours everywhere. Guides and drivers are friendly, professional and punctual: - Mayur, my driver, was super respectful, thrusthworty and attentive, making me feel very safe all the time. He went above and beyond to make sure I had a great experience suggesting changes to accommodate for better weather conditions and giving great tips of places to go/ eat. Top tier service! - Ashok Tiwari, my guide in Varanasi, was kind enough to proactively adjust the tour to accommodate my late flight departure. He is very knowledgeable about Varanasi history, culture and Hinduism and speaks perfect English - Krishan, my guide in Jaipur, will give you a class on Jaipur's history and monuments. He is also very transparent, explaining beforehand what you will see, making sure you are comfortable with the plan and allowing you options where he can - My guide in Agra was super sweet, caring and patient while I stopped every 2 seconds for photos. Made me feel very comfortable and also has top photography skills!Show moreTrip date: December 2024
