Hello, the trip was very nice! the tour guide and the driver were very nice and competent. The hotel in Riga (room on the top floor with skylight directly above the bed and not openable for me) was not good. Otherwise the hotels were fine. Picnic at lunchtime was a very nice idea, there were lots of different things to try from the typical local cuisine. It would be nice if every country had this instead of dinner. The 5 km transfer from the airport to the hotel was not justified at 39 euros. Otherwise everything was good!

Although the "biking" was not on my bucket list (was talked into the trip by our brother/sister-in-law), but we had a very great time! Mindaugas was a great guide, and our driver was also great. The hotels were fine, the food was excellent, and the biking was better than I'd expected! Our fellow companions were delightful. The history and tours of the Baltic countries was wonderful. It would have been nice to have had a microphone hook-up during our guided walking tours in order to hear all the information. It would have been nice to be able to buy t-shirts (Mindaugas wore a few) that displayed a map of the tour. I think it would have been nice if we could have ordered them before or after the trip. Is it possible to do so now? Otherwise, I'd never done anything like this before, and may do it again at some point.

The group was small and we all became friends and continue to communicate even after our trip. The biking was pleasant and mostly on bike paths. The area was very historically interesting and our guide was amazing: he taught us so much of the history and also interesting things about all the things we passed and stopped to see. Hotels were perfectly adequate, and the food was better than I expected (I pictured beets, cabbage and potatoes, and while there was plenty of that, there were also wonderful salads and other dishes). The tour whet my appetite for more!

A beautiful and inspiring trip through the three little, amazing Baltic Republics. Cycling was a great way to explore not only the capital cities, but also the rest of the countries. Cycling equipment was excellent and of very good quality. The itinerary was carefully designed and suitable to all, even though I would personally recommend to train a couple of weeks before the start of your tour if you have not cycled for a while . The group size was perfect, we were about 12 people. The visit to the capitals is a mere introduction, so if you want to discover more a strongly recommend to add a day before and after the trip to better see Vilnius and Tallin! Only 3 dinners were included, but there is plenty of options for dine around, at all sort of price level. Overall, a very relaxing, interesting and informative holiday. I recommend Baltic Bike Travel if you are thinking to visit this beautiful part of Europe!

What is the age range of the current group registered for August 25 departure? Is it right that we do not need to carry our bags on the bike rides and just day packs? (There will be transportation to store bigger luggage)

Are the folks in the guided group solo travellers or a larger group? Do most people have a lot of cycling experience? I have done long rides before but not multi-day and would probably just get an e-bike. If some friends join me, I would assume they would also get an e-bike.

    • Baltic Bike Travel UABOperatorWritten July 2025

there are 2 couples and 4 solo travellers... no idea about their cycling experience. most of them booked e-bike/Pedelec. If you like e-biking, this group could be a good choice.

How much free time is there to explore when in some of the cities? Can you confirm the date that Day 11 is Sept 4th? From the current group registered -- how many are german vs. english speaking at the moment? This trip sounds amazing and I have done some long e-bike rides before, but never multiple days in a row. Are there options to take a break and ride in a van, if needed? What do you recommend as items to bring -- any cycling pants and gloves, etc.?

    • Baltic Bike Travel UABOperatorWritten August 2025

if you want to explore Vilnius and Tallinn deeper, you should stay there extra nights. yes, the last day, Day 11 of this tour is Sep. 4th. In the guided group, there is one couple from Germany and one couple from Switzerland, other people are from English speaking countries. yes for riding in a minibus if you are tired or have no mood to cycle. after people make a booking, we normally send pre-departure information with a lot of useful hints, including what to take with you.

I want to go to Italy after. Which airport do we fly into? Is it safe in thsse countries right now due to Russia?

    • Baltic Bike Travel UABOperatorWritten June 2025

The tour starts in Vilnius - flying into Vilnius airport, finishing in Tallinn, flying out from Tallinn airport. The Baltics are part of NATO where Russia doesn't go and even don't try to go. We feel safe and all tourists coming here are very happy.
