Barcelona
You'll have dinner at La Pau, a local restaurant where young people share their transition into adulthood. It's a chance to connect with your Travel Director and other travelers while learning about life in the city from people who live it.

Barcelona
Your Local Expert takes you along Passeig de Gràcia to see the elegant Modernist architecture throughout the Eixample district. Then you'll spend time at Sagrada Família exploring the central nave with its tree-like pillars and stained-glass windows. The afternoon is yours to relax, or you can join an optional excursion to Montserrat if you prefer.

Barcelona to Valencia
You'll drive along the Costa Dorada past rice fields in the Ebro Delta, then stop in Peñíscola to see the hilltop castle used in the 'El Cid' film. After passing through orange groves, you reach Valencia to explore the City of Arts and Sciences and the Old City. Later a local chef shows you how to make paella, and then you sit down to eat it with wine.

Valencia to Granada
Heading south toward Andalucía, you'll pass the castle at Lorca and troglodyte dwellings near Guadix, with the Sierra Nevada mountains visible in the distance. Your Local Expert guides you through Granada's Alhambra palace complex, where you'll see arabesque gardens, fountains, and intricate stonework. Later you stroll through the elegant gardens of the Generalife, the royal summer residence.

Granada to Seville
The morning is yours to explore Granada however you like. If you're interested, a Local Expert can take you through the Albacín Quarter to learn about Granada's pivotal role in European history. Later you travel to Seville, passing gleaming white villages and olive groves along the way.

Seville
Start at Seville Cathedral, where Christopher Columbus is buried. Then you'll explore the city with Insight Choice options: walk through the old Jewish quarter or take a scenic drive with panoramic views. This evening you head to the Cristina Heeren Foundation for flamenco. You'll learn some dance moves and then watch a passionate flamenco performance.

Seville to Madrid
You travel early through the Guadalquivir Valley past villages and Moorish towers. In Córdoba, you'll cross the famous Roman bridge built in the 1st century BC. A local historian meets you to visit the Mezquita, an 8th-century mosque with a Christian cathedral built inside. After exploring narrow streets at your own pace, you head through La Mancha toward Madrid.

Your Local Expert takes you through Madrid's historic neighborhoods and the Old Quarter to show you where the city began. You'll spend time at the Prado Museum with an art historian who discusses works by Velázquez, Goya, Titian, Rubens and others. The afternoon is free to relax at a café, shop, or visit Toledo if you choose. By evening you'll have dinner with your Travel Director and fellow travelers at a local restaurant.
