Your flight lands at Bucharest Henri Coandă International Airport, and you'll get transferred to your hotel. This gives you time to settle in and get ready for the week ahead. Grab dinner at your hotel or nearby if you're hungry, then rest up for tomorrow.

Bucharest
You have the day to explore Bucharest on your own schedule. The city's got an interesting mix of communist-era buildings alongside elegant 19th-century architecture and historic neighborhoods worth wandering through. You can walk around at your own pace and check out whatever catches your interest, then head back to your hotel when you're ready.

- Day 3
Bucharest to Giurgiu
A panoramic tour takes you through Bucharest to see the People's Palace, communist architecture, French-influenced 19th-century buildings, and other historic sites around the city. After the tour wraps up, you'll travel by motorcoach to Giurgiu where your river cruise ship is waiting. Board in the afternoon and settle into your cabin.

Landmarks People's Palace - Day 4
Ruse, Bulgaria
Your ship docks in Ruse, Bulgaria's main Danube port. The city's nicknamed 'Little Vienna' because of its elegant 19th-century mansions and public buildings. You can choose between a trip to Veliko Tarnovo and Arbanassi with authentic Bulgarian lunch, or take a walking tour of Ruse itself with stops at Ivanovo and Basarbovo Monasteries.

- Day 5
Vidin, Bulgaria
You'll dock in Vidin, a medieval port town that was once significant to Bulgarian politics. Pick your activity for the day: either see the Belogradchik red rock formations or spend time at Dos Alamos Wine Estate doing some wine tasting. Back on ship by evening.

Landmarks Baba Vida Fortress - Day 6
Iron Gates Gorge
The cruise takes you through the Iron Gates gorges, one of the most striking stretches of the Danube. You can visit a Paleolithic archaeological site and see a well-preserved medieval fortress. Keep an eye out for Trajan's Plaque carved into the cliffs and 14th-century Golubac Castle. Choose between a guided tour of the archaeological park and castle, or a scenic hike with viewpoint stops.

Belgrade, Serbia
Belgrade comes into view, one of Europe's oldest cities with 7,000 years of history layered into it. The capital shows its turbulent past alongside its energetic modern side. You'll have an included evening concert at Kalemegdan Fortress, and earlier you can pick between a city tour visiting royal palace grounds or a local bike tour to get to know the neighborhoods.

You're now in Croatia. The ship docks in Vukovar, the country's largest port where the Danube and Vuka rivers meet. Explore Osijek with your choice of activities: either a walking tour with home-hosted lunch and museum visit, or a panoramic tour with restaurant lunch at a family place and a manor house stop.

Budapest Departure
You'll disembark the ship in Budapest this morning. A transfer takes you to Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport for your flight home. If you'd prefer more time in the city, you can arrange the optional post-cruise extension to stay longer in Budapest.
