I got to travel to some of the world’s most picturesque destinations with a group of fun-loving party animals and experience the “best of” Greece at a fast pace with almost every detail taken care of. I enjoyed the mix of historical, physical, and fun activities - exploring ancient ruins, hiking a volcano, boat tours, bar hopping, and more. Additionally, the fact that many of these activities are optional add-ons means that only those that are going to want to be there are there. If you don’t want to be there - no problem, lounge on the beach, explore the cities/islands, sleep in, or simply do whatever else you want to do. We stayed at some incredible places, including a hotel on the water in Athens with a rooftop bar across the street from the beach, and one of the world’s best beach clubs in Mykonos. While the rooms were a bit basic, it helped keep the price of the trip down, and it was more than sufficient for the minimal sleep we got almost every night anyway. I can’t speak highly enough about our tour leader, Maddie. She was knowledgable, incredibly hard-working, and made sure that any problem, including regarding Covid, was quickly dealt with. She rocked. Finally, as a solo traveller, I felt very comfortable on this trip because there were so many other solo travelers who went as well, and everyone is looking to meet everyone else. Contiki tours have an age restriction, and guests must be between 18-35 years old to be eligible to join. However, we would like to recommend one of our sister brands - Costsaver which is open to all ages, and may be a great fit for you.
