- Diane· September 27th, 2017Our trip through Sri Lanka was driven with Ruwinda who was a very careful driver and he has lots of experience and knowledge so he passed a lot onto us. We saw some amazing things temples cave buddhas, tea factory’s, even a visit to a gem lab, kandy lake dancers, definitely not to be missed. We loved the elephants at Pinewalla and at Minreya. They both were amazing visits. We felt that because we were on a tour we were allocated the cheapest room at some of the hotels though. Some were not so good. The Athena at Dambulla however was outstanding, just so lovely . The manager even came to see us from Colombo especially. Would certainly recommend a tour. However when visiting temples it would be a good idea to recommend people take socks. Often the stones are so hot you have to run to shade. We have done tours before and we’ve been provided with bags etc and this could be a good thing to hand out, it advertises your tours too. In it could be an umbrella socks or overshoes like surgeons wear, info about restaurants in the locations you’re visiting. Hand wipes. Just a suggestion. I still have my bag from a tour of Portugal and people often ask about our time there.Show more

He was very friendly, always telling jokes and stories about Sri Lanka and he always made sure we were safe. We were on an independent tour and I would highly recommend it. We learnt so much about the history and culture of Sri Lanka through Viky whilst having a blast. We loved every second of the tour.Show more
