Day 1
Kochi to Allepey
Your On The Go representative will greet you at Kochi airport and drive you roughly 2 hours to Allepey. Once there, you'll board a private rice-boat to start your backwater journey. The crew propels the boat using traditional bamboo poles as you drift past colorful villages. Your thatched-roof accommodation for the night includes mosquito nets, bathroom facilities, and a hurricane lamp for lighting.

Day 2
Allepey
This day is all about relaxing on the rice-boat. You can swim, spend time in the sun, and take in the scenery of the villages around you. The crew prepares meals from fresh local ingredients throughout the day. By evening, you'll watch the sunset through coconut palms and have dinner under the stars.

The tour was organized , hotels are great but wifi is an issue ( in the rooms), food is great. The tour guide is excellent ( Karun ) and Vijay was helpful esp when we had the optional tour , backstreet tours . But there’s one problem with picture taking , we had several pictures taken in Agra but I didn’t know that we had to pay for all the pictures . Some shots were horrible !

Overall good. Hotel was not nice as the photos in the brochure. There were three or four stops for shopping, which took very long time. The shopping should be included in the brochure. After 7 days (Delhi, Agra and Jaipur), three people including myself went to Shimla, which was also fun. The travelling times between cities were long, which was very tiring yet inevitable because of the size of Inida. Again, it was a good experience although I mentioned some negative sides.

Payment information
- For any tour departing before January 11th, 2026 a full payment is necessary. For tours departing after January 11th, 2026, a minimum payment of $600 is required to confirm your booking with On The Go Tours. The final payment will be automatically charged to your credit card on the designated due date. The final payment of the remaining balance is required at least 70 days prior to the departure date of your tour. TourRadar never charges you a booking fee and will charge you in the stated currency.
- Some departure dates and prices may vary and On The Go Tours will contact you with any discrepancies before your booking is confirmed.
