- Mary· August 22nd, 2025I had an absolute blast on my trip to Ireland! I booked the 7-Day Great Atlantic Adventure Tour and it was such an incredible experience. Our tour guide Mark was very knowledgeable, answered every question and had. great sense of humour. He was filled with amazing stories and fun facts about every place we went to. It's so much fun that with Overland Ireland all activities are included, it creates a great bond with our follow people on board. The group was really nice and everyone got on perfectly. This tour took us to places I never would have found planning a trip on my own. Lots of locations we went to were void of tourists and made you really feel like you were experiencing real Ireland and not just hitting the hot spots. We went on some beautiful hikes where we felt like the only ones there. I honestly loved not having to plan a thing for this trip and getting so much more value from it than if doing it solo. We hit every spot on time but I never felt like we were being rushed from place to place. We got to see so much while still at a relaxed pace. The accommodations were great and always in great locations within easy walking distance to pubs and restaurants. If I ever get the chance to come back to Ireland, I will definitely take another one of these tours and will spread the word. Book with Overland if you want to have a relaxing, fun-filled, enjoyable, amazing time in Ireland!Show moreTrip date: August 2025
- MLMaria del Mar· August 20th, 2025There was a break of communication between TourRadar and Overland Ireland Tours. My booking confirmation was not sent to the tour company, so I was not on their list and no hotel reservations were made for me. I have to give Overland Ireland 5 stars on how they handle the miscommunication and were able to accomodate me even though I had to stay in a separate hotel (without my group) in one of the locations. Furthermore, I had sent some questions to "my tour operator" and turn out the responses I received were not accurate at all...provided by Tour Radar instead of Overland Ireland!!!Show moreOverland Ireland - Small Group Tours commented on this reviewHello Maria, This was due to a technical issue, sincere apologies again but we are delighted you had a brilliant tour. - EOElaine· August 18th, 2025Although this was called an "Adventure Tour", I didn't feel it was much of an adventure. I was disappointed to spend so much time sitting on a bus, I expected to do more walking and cycling. The organisation of the tour was very good, and the guesthouses and hotels we stayed in were excellent.Show moreOverland Ireland - Small Group Tours commented on this reviewHello Elaine, There is only so much time in a day. - Annie· October 7th, 2024My experience was spectacular. Our guide was Mark and he made sure we enjoyed our trip fully. He was an excellent guide. The trip was organized perfectly. The guesthouses and hotels were unique, making the trip even better. I was a solo traveler and during the trip, I met lovely people and shared nice experiences with them. Asked on August 5th, 2025Can you recommend a hotel by the Dublin airport for me to stay at before heading home?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written August 2025
We would recommend The Ashling Hotel, as that is where our tour guide picks the group up on the first day of the tour. Then the same could be an option after the tour, or alternatively the Maldron Hotel is beside Dublin Airport.

Traveler•Written August 2025Are there any baggage restrictions (size/weight) while traveling with the group?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written August 2025
Generally we recommend bringing a large suitcase and a separate smaller bag for day to day use.

Asked on June 27th, 2025where does the tour begin in Dublin and what time would I need to be there so I can coordinate my flight. I am a solo traveler. Is there an extra charge for over night lodging as I prefer not to share a room.
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written June 2025
We would be thrilled to welcome yo to The Emerald Isle. We love having solo travellers on board, they make up on average about 1/3 of the passengers on our tours. The single supplement for this tour is €325 which will ensure you have your own private room with en-suite for your trip. The tour starts at The Ashling hotel in Dublin at 8am on the first day.

Asked on June 8th, 2025Please clarify the accommodation? Where do you meet to start the trip? Getting back into Dublin on 6/22- what time and do you drop us off at our hotel. I am a little confused about this. I understand I have to book my flight and then need to know where we meet etc

Accommodations are included and are the following: Kinsale: Blindage House. Dingle: Dingle Marina Lodge. Doolin: Armada house or Maloney House. Galway: Hyde Hotel. Westport: The Wyatt. The trip starts in front of the Ashling hotel in Dublin City at 08:00 AM. The trip finishes between 18:00 and 19:00 in Dublin Heuston station.

Asked on May 21st, 2025is there room for a single person on the june 1st trip and can you advise if airport transfers are included and/or how many folks are signed up for this trip
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written May 2025
We do have availability for 1 on our June 1st Great Atlantic Adventure. This is actually the last available space as there is 14 people joining this tour so far. While airport transfers are not included I can of course give you recommendations on how to get from the airport.

Charles
Traveler•Written May 2025can you recommend what area to get a hotel for easiest and closet to meet up
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Dublin is a compact enough city so hotels are only a short drive away by taxi. The tour leaves from the Ashling Hotel and returns to Heuston station. Other hotels we would recommend: The Green, The Alex, The Castle Hotel, The Morgan, Hilton Gardens.

Charles
Traveler•Written May 2025Is there a preferred packing list for the day trips
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written May 2025
Normally light packing, nice paid of light hiking/walking shoes, nothing over the top, layers of light clothing, as weather can change in Ireland. Adapter with 3 point UK plug, sun screen, passport, credit card and maybe some cash to tip your guide, between euro 15 and 20 per day.

Asked on May 5th, 2025What kind of vans do you use for the tour? Are there big windows like the coach busses for viewing the sites?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written May 2025
We use Mercedes Sprinter coaches with big panoramic windows, full AC and they are nice and comfortable. This tour has won tour of the year in Tourradar so you know you are in good hands.

Asked on May 4th, 2025I was thinking of booking one of the tours "7-Day Great Atlantic Adventure" or "Wild South Mutli-day" for 1 adult and 3 Children aged 9, 11 and 14 respectively. We are not English native speakers but are looking for an immersion tour in English. Do you think that these tours are suitable for us?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written May 2025
I think our Great Atlantic tour would be a great option for you as it is its a great way to explore Ireland, also since its a little more active (nothing to much) is works well with kids. We can always ask our guides not to speak to fast if that would help.

Traveler•Written April 2025With the Ireland to Island tour see on the last day of the trip it brings travelers from Galway to Ireland. Can one stay in Galway and modify this part of the trip?
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
Both tours are quite similar in terms of activity levels, with kayaking and biking included on each. The main difference is the trip to Skellig Michael, which involves climbing 618 steps that can be a bit steep in places.
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
If you'd like to finish your tour in Galway and stay a bit longer, that's absolutely fine. Just let your guide know, and they'll help you arrange transport back to Dublin the next day.

Traveler•Written March 2025Also please when does it begin and when does it end? Is it 19 or 20th April? Thanks
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written April 2025
The following accommodations are included: * Blindgate House in Kinsale * Dingle Marina Lodge or Emlalgh Guest House * Hyde Hotel Galway * Maloney House or Doolin Inn Doolin * Wyatt Hotel in Westport. These are all in really nice locations, within easy walking distance to restaurants, really safe and family friendly. Am sure the teenagers will love the activities as most of our guests who bring teenagers are always happy and leave excellent reviews. The tour starts in front of the Ashling Hotel in Dublin at 08:00 AM and finishes at Heuston Station (taxi's, coaches and trains to bring people to their next destination) between 17:00 and 18:30.

Asked on March 26th, 2025Do you have availability for group of 6 adults in 7-Day Great Atlantic Adventure Small Group Tour.
- Overland Ireland - Small Group ToursOperator•Written March 2025
Unfortunately we do not have room on the Great Atlantic for 6 people on June 1st. But the good news is we do have the Ireland to Island tour available for 6 people. It also starts on June 1st and finishes on the 7th. Instead of kayaking in Dingle, you will kayak in Killarney National Park, near Ross Castle! The Skellig Michael Experience takes you to a remote island off the southwest coast of Ireland. It is famous for its rugged beauty, ancient monastic site, and role as a filming location for Star Wars. Skellig is also famous for seeing Puffins, which arrive on the island around April and stay until early August, making them easy to spot during the peak visiting season.
