But, importantly, the guides were flexible and adjusted to our needs; we cut out some temples and waterfalls but added zip wire rides! It would be helpful if the separate payment needed for flights is shown more clearly. The timings in the plan are somewhat unrealistic as the roads in Laos aren't in great shape and driving takes much longer so we missed planned activities several times. Also, it promised an elephant sanctuary visit but this doesn't exist anymore which seems like false advertising. Really not great. The guides were nice. The cars and drivers were good. Traveler•Written August 2025We are 3 senior women travelers. We are happy to stay in the same hotel room but is it possible to guarantee us each our own bed for sleeping? There would not be single supplement if we are all staying together. We are not interested in sharing beds.

Many hotels, especially those in the 3-star range, typically offer twin rooms (with two separate beds) or double rooms (with one shared bed). In situations where a triple room isn't available, the tour operator usually has to book a twin/double room and a single room, which would result in an additional single supplement fee. To ensure you and your friends have a comfortable trip with three separate beds, we would cover any single supplement fees that might apply to accommodate your request.

Joining a Group Tour or sharing a room with a traveler of the same gender is not available for this particular package. 2. Transportation on Day 9: On Day 9, from the Border (Houay Xai - Chiang Khong), we utilize a river boat as transportation. The trip concludes at the Border, and customers are expected to arrange their means of transportation on the Thailand side independently.
