Customer Reviews
- Elizabeth· July 28th, 2025The amazon rainforest is absolutely incredible and it was a mostly fantastic experience while there. The wildlife was incredible to see. The lodge was comfortable and the food was delicious! There were fun activities and I learned a lot about the area and it's history. I was concerned that the tour guide did catch a small caimen and held it while describing anatomy/behavior etc. it was also concerning that it was then passed around for anyone who wanted to hold it - despite the tourists having contaminants like big spray on them. That was uncool. You're not going to grab a sloth out of a tree - no need to grab a caimen. My guide did speak English which was great and very appreciated. He couldn't tell me a lot about the local indigenous tribes or whose land we were on, but just said they didn't really exist there anymore as they had "retreated into the forest". The communication from bamba was subpar - maybe I missed it, but I didn't know who the local operator was until just days before leaving, wasn't entirely sure where I was getting picked up from, and I didn't get a gear list until about a week before - luckily I had done my own research and was fairly well lifted out because I had already left my home country by that time and wasn't going to bring anything else.Show more
- Adriene· June 30th, 2025I had a fantastic time! The itinerary made every day (including arrival) a day where I learned and experienced something new. The transportation was well-organized, and we went by van, boat, van and boat to arrive & reverse to return. The guide was funny, knowledgeable, and fluent in English. He always gave us clear instructions/advice to prepare us for the next tour or activity. Bring your most serious mosquito spray because when you go on excursions, they are aggressive (they can bite through the hammock material!) I also recommend that you be prepared for the humidity. They feed you pretty generously, but you may want to bring some sweets, but there is cupuacu mousse cups that are yummy and not very expensive! The only thing I was sad about was that it was hard to see the river dolphins. We did spot a few in the distance.Show more
- Suzanna· March 10th, 2025I had an amazing experience on the Carnavals tour! All the tourguides were very nice and helpful and I loved the activities we did. It didn't matter which activity you wanted to do, there was always a guide with you. It was a really really great tour, I would definately recommend this to others!Show more

Asked on December 26th, 2022Does this tour only include transfers? Is there a tour guide during the trip? Do I need to book accommodation and internal flights in advance or can this be done through you?
- Bamba TravelOperator•Written December 2022
This is a Travel Pass which means this package doesn't include accommodation. This is done so travelers have more freedom while traveling. Also, this is an independent package, you won't have a tour leader or a group traveling with you, you will only have guided activities and transfers from city to city.

Traveler•Written December 2022so how do the transfers know where to pick us up from?
- Bamba TravelOperator•Written December 2022
For most of the transfer you have to make your own way to the bus station, or when there is a pick-up included we will ask you the name of the accommodation you book for that specific city.
