Jay· November 6th, 2021Fantastic journey. Deep dives into the culture and food without being overwhelming. Guides were great in cultural immersions, and felt safe throughout the trip. The trip does involve travel by a minibus, but the minibus was new, and there were plentiful stops along the way that kept the drives short. Homestays/guesthouses were awesome - great lodgings, and talking with the families who lived in the region for generations was very heartwarming. One night, after dinner, we played some 80's songs with singalong with our tour participants... this was followed by a very spontaneous drum performance by the sons of the proprietors, then a song/dance with the matriarch of the family as well. The guide, Samir, was excellent, the itinerary was great in that we saw a lot of different parts of the country and interacted with a lot of different people. The one thing that was not good about this trip were a couple of other participants on the tour who detracted from the experience of the rest of the group.
