- Leila· February 27th, 2025The trip from Sydney to Cairns was a fantastic experience, visiting beautiful places along the East Coast. It included fun activities, cultural experiences, local insights, but also personal freedom with optional activities and free time. After this trip you take a bit of everything from the East Coast of Australia, the best memories and many friends. Lauren was an amazing CEO. She was very enthusiastic, made sure we had the best time and best experience at very place. Her engagement was above and beyond. She not only gave tips for things to do on the trip, but also general tips for Australia and also tips for people who only did part of the trip and then traveled on their own. You could really tell that she loves the job and loves to show and share the beautiful things in Australia with us.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for this wonderful feedback, Leila! This sounds like a wonderful trip. We hope to welcome you on another adventure in the near future!Trip date: February 2025

- Cristina· November 5th, 2024I highly recommend this tour! It was so much fun and truly comprehensive. Some days were intense, but I loved getting to see so many fabulous places. If you’re planning to visit Australia, this tour is ideal! I was initially concerned about the group’s age range, but everyone was close to my age (approx 26-32), which made the experience even more enjoyable. Our CEO, Lauren, was outstanding—incredibly kind and helpful, which enhanced the trip. As for accommodations, only two hostels didn’t quite meet my expectations, but we notified the company, so I’m hopeful they’ll address this for future tours.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewThank you so much for sharing your experience of Australia with us, Cristina! - AKAli· January 27th, 2024Really good trip with value for your money. We saw a lot of Australia in such a short time, given how massive Australia really is. Our guide, Tamar, was an absolute sweetheart, knowledgeable, well travelled and very professional. This tour has the right balance of group activities and independent activities if you choose to do so. My only complaint is that some of the accommodations were subpar, which was disappointing given the high cost of this trip.Show moreG Adventures commented on this reviewHi Ali We are happy you had such a good trip to Australia, We'll pass on your comments about the accommodation to our product and ops teams.Trip date: January 2024

Asked on February 18th, 2025I'm interested in joining your Most of the Coast: Sydney to Cairns, and I have a couple of questions before booking: - Given that I'm planning a long trip, I want to ensure this tour is suitable for me. I enjoy group travel, but I also value some personal space. Would you say this tour is a good fit? - Do you offer single room upgrades for accommodations, and if so, what are the additional costs?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written February 2025
This group tour is one of our 18-39, and unlikely to be suitable to your preferences of personal space - as we don't offer a single supplement on these tours. Please note that multi-share accommodation is very popular in Australia and is the way you will be spending most of your nights. This may involve 4-6 group members sharing and even (on rare occasions) dormitory-style rooms for the whole group. It is also worth noting that all multi-share accommodation is generally split by gender in Australia. The majority of accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. We have specifically chosen unique accommodations to give local flavour to your trip. Where we use multi-share hostels, rooming requests of any kind cannot be taken. For private accommodation please see tours in our Classic Travel Style.

Asked on October 29th, 2024I am wondering what the average age range is on this tour? I am 28 and concerned that the average age may be significantly younger than myself. Also I am wondering what the gender mix will be.

Traveler•Written October 2024Will participants be staying in dorms with each other or are we split into different rooms with non-tour people? Will there be any kind of orientation or ice breaker activities for tour group members to get to know each other? Is there an option to update to a private room in some places?
- G AdventuresOperator•Written October 2024
Multi-share accommodation is very popular. May involve 4-6 group members sharing and occasionally dormitory-style rooms. Multi-share accommodation is generally split by gender. Most accommodation will have shared bathroom facilities. No option for a single supplement. There will be a welcome meeting on day one for you all to meet and your tour guide can recommend activities for your free time.

Asked on July 14th, 2024Is the age range flexible? We are a family of 4...23, 26, 52, and 53. The parents each play soccer/football 3-4 times per week and both regularly work with young people (one is a professor and one is a high school soccer/football coach). We are fine with staying in hostels (took a similar trip to NZ).
- G AdventuresOperator•Written July 2024
The age range for this tour is 18-39 and we do not have the ability to be flexible with this. We do have other tours in Australia that allow all travels over age 12 if you are interested in having a look.
