- Brian· March 29th, 2025Our group leader was excellent and the sights amazing. Some of the local guides not that helpful. Poor communication with TourRadar. Intrepid was more helpful. Not met at airport upon arrival and had trouble getting to hotel at 5 in the morning. Prepaid $83 to get ride to airport at end of trip and found out the taxi or Uber would have cost me $25? I feel that was a rip off.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewThank you for taking the time, Brian, to leave honest feedback. - Sheree· February 26th, 2025After experiencing exceptional service from Leo in Peru (who I highly recommend) and the kindness and professionalism of Lulu in Argentina and Brazil, my father and I were unfortunately met with a completely different standard of leadership from Yamila. Her behaviour and attitude not only crossed a professional line but also a personal one. What was supposed to be the experience of a lifetime—one that we poured a lifetime of savings into—was heavily tarnished by her dismissiveness, rudeness, and lack of care for our health, safety, and overall enjoyment. Instead of enhancing our journey, her poor conduct overshadowed the entire trip, leaving a lasting negative impression that will stay with us forever. There were also several logistical issues that added unnecessary stress. Key itinerary details were poorly communicated, leaving us scrambling for information. The coastal train activity, which was listed as an option, was disregarded by our leader without explanation. The Ibera Wetlands excursion—a major highlight—was not only poorly managed but also raised serious safety concerns that were ignored. Throughout the trip, there was an evident lack of organisation, consideration, and effort to create an inclusive group environment. Despite bringing these issues to Intrepid’s attention, their response prioritised protecting their staff over making things right for their customers. I simply requested a direct apology for the poor treatment my father received, but they refused, citing company policy. While they acknowledged that Yamila’s behaviour was disappointing, their refusal to hold her personally accountable speaks volumes about how they handle customer concerns. I can’t speak for the other tour leaders in Argentina and Brazil, but if you choose to do this leg of the trip, make sure it’s not with Yamila. Going with a tour group always carries some risks, but typically those risks come from the dynamics between travellers—not from the very person who is meant to guide and support you. It’s a shame that an otherwise well-structured itinerary was completely undermined by poor leadership. A trip like this should leave you with lifelong memories of joy and adventure. Instead, thanks to Yamila, my father and I are left with a deeply disappointing experience that we will never forget—for all the wrong reasons.Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHello Sheree, thank you for taking the time to post a review. - RTRichard· May 10th, 2024Loved the tour with Iguazu Falls being the highlight. Ipanema Beach was our favourite and enjoyed being buffeted by the waves. Our guide Javier did a really good job and the whole group was very appreciative of his efforts. Also got to see the resting place of Evita and Christ the Redeemer close up!Show moreIntrepid Travel commented on this reviewHi Richard, thank you for sharing your experience and posting this wonderful review. - AAnonymous· April 26th, 2024Structured tour of the main sites in Buenos Aires-Iguazu-Rio De Janerio. Although needed more time in the main 2 cities as not enough time to savour major sites or venture beyond. Tour guide Santiago was exceptional as a Guide leader and human being. Took care of everything and supported and was really interested in who we were and what we wanted out of the tours. My suggestion would be to go for the Premium package rather than the Explorer package to get a better quality of hotel. The open top bus tour in B.A is a good orientation exercise prior to the guided trip as it gives more time to explore what you like rather than what IShow moreTrip date: April 2024

Traveler•Written April 2025Is it possible to accomodate or adjust the walking to a minimum or offer a different activity. Also if I wanted to return to Buenes Aires instead of going back to US from Rio, could that be arranged?
- Intrepid TravelOperator•Written April 2025
Since the orientation walks and city tours are a part of the itinerary, we are unable to amend the itinerary or offer any alternate activities. If you decide to return back to Buenos Aires after the trip, you will have to make your own arrangements for this. As of now, we have 6 confirmed passengers and 6 spots available on the 04 Oct 2025 departure.
