The few gravel sections were not an issue for the well maintained bicycles we used. Traffic was really never an issue with local drivers courteous and patient unlike many other trips I've done in the US. The food was fabulous - excellent meals at a very reasonable costs. The guide was a gracious host teaching us much about his country. Asked on February 24th, 2025Would like to try a regular bike but am very short and have difficulty finding the right size, especially for handlebar distance. How steep is the hill climbing? Could I switch to an electric bike in the middle of the trip?
Exodus Adventure TravelsOperator•Written February 2025E-bikes are available for a supplement, however you cannot switch bike type mid way through the trip. This is a level 4 moderate / challenging tour. We mainly follow paved roads; where possible, we use the older roads on the islands, which tend to be quieter and made of hard gravel. The route is generally rolling but there are a few challenging hills that can be tough in the warm weather. Day 2 of the tour on Hvar will be a difficult day.

Our cycling trip in Croatia is one of our most popular trips in Europe! What caught your eye about this adventure? We do still have availability for 12 travelers on the 07-14 June 2025 departure of this trip! Are you a big group of friends traveling together? Or is this a family reunion? And are all of the travelers adults? If you're interested in joining us I'd be happy set up a one week complimentary hold on that departure for you! I'd recommend holding spots as we do have a group maximum of 16 travelers per departure on this trip and with a larger group, we do have limited availability next June.
