Kathmandu
An official representative meets you at Tribhuwan International Airport and arranges your transfer to the hotel. You'll have time to settle in and rest after your flight, getting ready for the trek ahead.

Kathmandu
After breakfast, you'll meet with your trip guide for a pre-briefing about the upcoming adventure. Then you'll explore Kathmandu City with a local guide, checking out UNESCO World Heritage Sites including Durbar Squares, Pashupatinath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Swayambhunath Stupa. Back at your hotel in the afternoon, you'll handle final packing and any last-minute shopping.

Kathmandu to Lukla to Puyan
After breakfast, you head to the airport for a domestic flight to Lukla, about 35-40 minutes, which is the gateway to the Everest region. Following a brief lunch break, your trek begins toward Puyan. You'll cross hanging bridges over rivers and pass through traditional Sherpa villages like Chheplung, Thado Koshi, Sangha, and Lungden before reaching Puyan village.

Puyan to Pangum
You trek from Puyan toward Pangum village, moving up and down through trails with great mountain views. Dense forests, rocks, and open fields mark the route. At Pangum Danda, a small settlement, you'll take a break and interact with Sherpa residents in the hamlets. You'll reach Pangum village, positioned on a ridge with sweeping vistas of the surrounding peaks.

Landmarks Pangum Danda - Day 5
Pangum to Ningsow
From Pangum, you continue along descending trails, crossing a small wooden bridge into thick forests of bamboo and rhododendrons. The narrow and steep trails require careful footing while you take in views of the Dudh Koshi River and towering mountains. After several small climbs and descents, you arrive at Ningsow village for the night.

Ningsow to Chhetra Thanga
You trek from Ningsow through rhododendrons and pine forests, navigating suspension bridges over rivers. Passing by various small villages, you'll get glimpses of local culture, customs, and daily life. You arrive at Chhetra Thanga village with peaceful surroundings, ideal for resting after a full day of trekking.

Chhetra Thanga to Kothe/Mosom Kharka
You trek deep into the Hinku Valley on rocky trails alongside pine, oak, and rhododendron forests. Mera Peak comes into view as you traverse scenic high-altitude trails. After passing through mountainside villages and lush greenery, you'll cross the white water Hinku River via a wooden bridge and make a slight climb to reach Kothe on the river's bank.

Landmarks Mera Peak Hinku Valley Hinku River - Day 8
Kothe to Thangnak
You trek on rock fields and green grazing pastures, moving upward on the ridge through rugged trails on the left side of the Hinku River. Gondishung, a tiny summer settlement for herders, comes into view with all three Mera summits visible from the trail. You'll visit the roughly 200-year-old Lungsamba Monastery, a highlight with vibrant spiritual feeling. Eventually you reach Thangnak with captivating views of the mighty Himalayas.

Thangnak to Khare
You trek from Thangnak toward Khare, the last settlement before Mera Peak. With views of Kusum Kanguru, Baruntse, Kyashar, Kongde Ri, and other adjoining mountains, you traverse the inclined moraines of the Dig Glacier and Shar Glacier to Dig Kharka. Then you make a steep ascent on rough mountainous trails to reach Khare.

Khare
You spend a rest and acclimatization day at Khare. After the long trek, your body adjusts to high altitude while your muscles recover. A short morning walk around Khare keeps circulation going and helps you stay warm. You'll have easy meals with quiet mountain views and time to double-check your gear, getting to know other trekkers and guides while preparing for the climb ahead.

Khare to High Camp
A long and demanding day of trekking from Khare to High Camp, starting before dawn on rocky trails. As you ascend, panoramic views unfold before you. You'll move at an easy pace with emphasis on deep breathing in the thinner air, with guides helping set a steady rhythm. In the afternoon, you arrive at High Camp surrounded by snow-capped peaks, where a warm meal reenergizes you for the final summit push.

- Day 12
High Camp to Mera Peak to Khare
Your ascent toward Mera Peak summit starts before dawn to avoid afternoon high winds. You climb steep rock-covered-with-ice and snow routes with glaciers and crevasses. With depleting air, you tackle the final climbing challenges to reach the tallest of the three summits. A gentle morning sunrise hits the Himalayas as you reach the top, with panoramic views of snow-covered mountains in golden hue. After enjoying the summit, you descend to High Camp for a brief rest, then continue down to Khare.

- Day 13
Contingency Day
This is a reserve and contingency day set aside to provide the best window for attempting Mera Peak. If weather is unfavorable on the summit day, this spare day allows you to postpone your attempt. If weather is favorable, you can use this extra day at any point during the journey. A good option is spending this day in Lukla, which offers several nice spots to relax and celebrate your adventure before returning to Kathmandu.

- Day 14
Khare to Kothe
You begin the return trek descending from Khare to Kothe, following the same route from earlier. You'll pass through Thagnak village and the lateral moraines of the Hinku Nup and Shar Glaciers. Trekking across the Dig Kharka and Dig Glacier one more time, you re-enter Lungsumgba Gompa and walk alongside the Hinku River to reach Kothe on its sandy banks.

Landmarks Thagnak Lungsumgba Gompa - Day 15
Kothe to Thuli Kharka
You take a slightly different return route from Kothe. Beginning with a gradual descent to the left of the Hinku River, you then cross the river and follow winding trails through thick forests of rhododendrons and pines. As the forest clears, you reach rocky fields and continue across several chortens and shrines. After various uphill and downhill sections, you walk on the ridges of the Hinku River and gradually ascend to Thuli Kharka, a pasture land area with several teahouses.

Thuli Kharka to Lukla via Zatrwa La Pass
After breakfast on your last day on the Everest region trails, you begin a steep ascent toward Zatrwa La Pass on rugged, rocky, steep and narrow trails. Final views of majestic Himalayan peaks from the pass top are immensely rewarding. You slowly descend from Zatrwa La toward Lukla as the landscape gradually changes from rocky to lush green bushes. After a long day of walking up and down, you arrive at Lukla for a restful evening.

Landmarks Zatrwa La Pass - Day 17
Lukla to Kathmandu
You head to Lukla Airport for an early morning flight back to Kathmandu, leaving the peaceful Himalayan region behind. The flight takes approximately 40 minutes over lush landscapes of hills, rivers, forests, and mountains, landing at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. From there, you arrange a private vehicle ride to your hotel.

Kathmandu
You rest and relax in Kathmandu before your international departure. After checking out from your hotel, you'll be dropped off at the international airport for your flight home.
