Ouagadougou
You'll land at Ouagadougou International Airport where your guide meets you for the drive to your hotel. After a quick orientation to get your bearings, you'll have your first night to rest and adjust.
- Day 2
Ouagadougou - Tiébélé - Ouagadougou
Following breakfast, head out toward Tiébélé to see the Kassena people's clay houses decorated with their signature geometric patterns. The Royal Compound, where the village chief lives and holds ceremonies, is a key stop. Later in the afternoon, drive back to Ouagadougou for the night.

Ouagadougou to Bobo-Dioulasso
After breakfast, take the road toward Bobo-Dioulasso, Burkina Faso's second major city. Along the way, stop at Sabou's sacred crocodiles' pond to hear local stories and see how residents coexist with the animals. If there's time, you might pop into a local tapestry shop before arriving in Bobo-Dioulasso for the evening.

Bobo-Dioulasso
Spend the day exploring Bobo-Dioulasso. Your guide shows you the famous mosque's prayer area, then you'll head to Kibidwe to watch blacksmiths, potters, and dyers working. See the sacred catfish and check out how local beer gets made, then browse the market. There's an optional hike available to Koro Village on a hilltop to experience Bobo, Dioula, and Fulani communities before returning.

Bobo-Dioulasso to Ouagadougou
Drive back to Ouagadougou through rural areas and small villages. Once you're settled at your hotel, head to the Thomas Sankara Memorial in the afternoon, a significant site dedicated to the revolutionary leader who led Burkina Faso from 1983 to 1987. The memorial reflects Pan-African identity and the nation's progress. Return to your hotel for the evening.

Ouagadougou - Laongo - Zorgho - Tenkodogo
Head out to Laongo Sculpture Park, where you'll find over 40 granite sculptures by artists from around the world set on a rocky hilltop overlooking the Kou Valley. Afterward, drive to Zorgho to visit the local museum about the Mossi people and their traditional Warba dance. Browse the museum's courtyard shops, then continue on to Tenkodogo for the night.

Get to know Tenkodogo starting with the Royal Palace, the historical Mossi chief's residence showing traditional building styles. The local market has fabrics, crafts, and other goods to browse. In the afternoon, make your way back to Ouagadougou with stops at the Niangho Museum, which focuses on the Bissa people, and Toecin pottery village where artisans create pieces by hand.

Ouagadougou
Depending on your flight time, you'll either head to the airport or take a tour of Ouagadougou if time works out. Check out the Grand Market, the National Museum with regional clothing, masks, and ancestral pieces, and the Artisans' Center for basketry, batik, wood carvings, jewelry, leather goods, and bronze work. You'll pass the Thomas Sankara Memorial before heading to the airport.
