Itinerary
- Day 1
Tirana to Shkodra
You'll arrive at Tirana airport where your tour leader meets you for the transfer north to Shkodra, Albania's historic northern capital. After settling in, there's a welcoming dinner at a local restaurant serving traditional Albanian food. The evening is yours to wander around the boulevard and get oriented before starting the hiking portion of your trip tomorrow.

Shkodra to Theth
Following breakfast, you head into the Albanian Alps with stops at scenic viewpoints including Boge and Qafe Thore along the way. Once in Theth village, you'll check out the Church of Theth and the Reconciliation Tower, then take a 30-minute hike to Grunas waterfall. Lunch happens by the Black River, and after that you walk 45 minutes through the jungle to reach the Blue Eye of Theth where you can spend time by the river before heading back to your guesthouse.

Theth to Valbona
Today brings the Valbona Pass hike, an 8-hour trek that's the longest of your trip and the only hiking route connecting Theth and Valbona through the Accursed Mountains. The route offers impressive views as you make your way across these peaks. By evening you'll reach Valbona village and settle into your guesthouse for a traditional North Albanian dinner.

Valbona
You'll wake to mountain views and crisp air in Valbona. After exploring the village and taking in the mountain scenery around you, a 4-hour round trip hike to Ramas Ban gets you deeper into the landscape. Picnic lunch is available if you'd like, and you'll have free time to spend in Valbona National Park. The afternoon back at the guesthouse gives you time to relax and recover.

Valbona to Zgiboze
The day starts with a drive to Fierza port where you board a 90-minute boat tour through the Albanian Fjords via the Shala River. This takes you to Zgiboze, a remote area in the heart of the Albanian Alps that you can only reach by water. Once there, you'll follow several trails through the wild terrain and have free time in the afternoon to explore at your own pace.

Zgiboze to Tirana
Another boat ride takes you from Zgiboze to Komani port while you enjoy the scenery along the way. From the port, you drive back toward Tirana with a stop at Fishte village, known for one of Albania's popular agrotourism restaurants. Your final lunch features traditional dishes made with fresh hand-picked vegetables from the farm before you head to Tirana or the airport to end your trip.
