Itinerary
- Day 1
Amman to Madaba
You'll land in Amman and pick up your rental car, then drive to Madaba about an hour south. This town serves as Jordan's Christian center, so your first stop is the Greek Orthodox Church of St. George to see the famous 6th-century Madaba Mosaic Map on the church floor. After checking into your hotel, grab dinner at the Carob House for authentic Jordanian food and hospitality.

- Day 2
Madaba to Dana Nature Reserve
Head down to Bethany (Al-Maghtas) in the morning, the spiritual site where John the Baptist baptized Jesus. From there, it's a short drive to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on Earth at about 1,410 feet below sea level. You'll float in the mineral-rich water and can cover yourself with the therapeutic mud. After that, drive to your accommodation near Dana Nature Reserve for the night.

- Day 3
Petra
Dedicate the full day to Petra, the rose-red city carved into cliffs and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through the dramatic Siq gorge, and you'll come out at the iconic Treasury facade carved into the rock face. Spend hours wandering through royal tombs, ancient temples, and theaters scattered throughout the site, which holds over 2,000 years of history. End the day with dinner at Meat On Fire or another local restaurant.

Wadi Rum
Travel into Wadi Rum, a UNESCO World Heritage Site desert with massive rock formations and red sand. This is Bedouin homeland, so you'll experience authentic desert culture here. Consider arranging a jeep tour or camel ride if those interest you. Spend the night at a traditional Bedouin camp where you can sleep under the stars and the clear desert sky.

Wadi Rum to Amman

Once you reach Amman in the afternoon, walk around the capital's streets and check out some historical landmarks. The city has a lively atmosphere with plenty of local culture and heritage sites to discover around different neighborhoods.

Visit Darat al Funun art center to see contemporary Arab art and get views over the city, then wander through the Gold Market to browse jewelry and pick up souvenirs. Head up to Amman Citadel for panoramic city views and ancient ruins before heading to the airport for your departure.
