From there, head to Taourirt and Skoura to visit the Kasbah of Ameridhil before settling into Dades Valley. From there, drive toward Merzouga with a lunch stop in Tinjdad, then pass through Sahara oases at Erfoud and Er-Rissani. Once you reach Merzouga, relax with mint tea and walk through the village if you want. Later, head barefoot across the dunes to catch the sunset, then settle into your desert camp for the night under open sky.

The route takes you through Ziz Gorges with rocky passages and into the Tafilalt oases. During lunch in Errachidia, you'll experience local Berber hospitality. You'll navigate narrow alleyways packed with donkeys and mules carrying goods and goods, wander past spice stalls and perfume shops with strong, complex smells. The leather tanneries are particularly interesting since artisans still use techniques passed down for centuries, hand-treating hides in stone vats.
