Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival
You'll get transferred to your hotel where you can get settled and take some time to relax. Stop by the information board at reception in the afternoon to pick up details about what's coming up on your tour.
- Day 2
Moselle Valley - Cologne - Dortmund
Today you're cruising through the Rhine and Moselle Valleys. You'll sail between Rüdesheim and Sankt Goar on the Rhine, then head to Moselle for lunch in Cochem, a charming village with a castle overlooking the town. After that, you'll see Cologne's Gothic cathedral before driving on to Dortmund for the night.

Later you'll visit Polle's Cinderella Castle ruins, and head through Hamelin (famous for the Pied Piper story) before arriving in Hanover where you'll have time to walk around the old town.

You start with the Rammelsberg Mines and museum (admission's included), a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Then you'll walk through Goslar's medieval old town with its half-timbered buildings and Church of St. Peter. After lunch, you'll explore Göttingen, a university city where the Brothers Grimm once lived. By evening you'll reach Bad Sooden spa town and finish up in Eisenach where dinner is included.

You'll tour Wartburg Castle (tickets included), a UNESCO site where Martin Luther translated the New Testament. Back in Eisenach you'll have free time for lunch, and the option to visit the Bach House or Automobile Museum if you're interested. From there you'll head to Gotha to see its Baroque palace and historic center, then on to Erfurt for its cathedral and medieval old town. You'll roll into Leipzig around 7:00 p.m.

Dresden - Meissen - Moritzburg - Berlin
Leaving Leipzig, you'll stop at the Monument to the Battle of the Nations, a 91-meter tall structure. Then you're heading to Dresden, Saxony's capital, known for its Baroque and Renaissance buildings and walks along the Elbe River. You'll visit Meissen, famous for porcelain production since the 18th century, and check out its old town. There's also a stop at Moritzburg's castle on an island before you arrive in Berlin around 7:00 p.m.

Berlin
You'll have a guided tour of Berlin with a local guide by coach. You'll see Museum Island, the Television Tower, shopping areas, Brandenburg Gate, Reichstag, and city parks. The tour also covers the Holocaust Memorial and Berlin Wall Memorial Museum to learn about Germany's 20th-century history. In the afternoon you'll have free time to explore on your own, then there's an early evening transfer to the Kantstrasse area.
