Arrival
You'll get transferred to your hotel and have time to settle in. The afternoon is yours to relax and grab any information from the reception desk about what's coming up on the tour.

Rome
Start early with a three-hour guided tour that mixes walking and a panoramic bus ride through Imperial Rome. You'll see the Arch of Constantine, Colosseum exterior, Imperial Forums, Circus Maximus, Baths of Caracalla, Basilica of Saint Mary Major, Pyramid of Cestius, and Castel Sant'Angelo. Reach Vatican City around 11:00 a.m. with an optional chance to visit the Vatican Museums and Sistine Chapel. Later head to Trastevere neighborhood for dinner and return by 8:30 p.m.

This day is yours to explore Rome however you'd like. If you want a structured activity, there's an optional excursion depending on the season: Capri from April through October, or Naples and Pompeii from November through March.

- Day 4
Castiglione del Lago - Siena
Journey through Umbria starting in Orvieto, a medieval city perched on a flat summit where you can take in the views and ride escalators up to see the Gothic cathedral. Next stop is Castiglione del Lago on Lake Trasimeno for a walk and lunch. After that, head to Siena in Tuscany for the afternoon to check out Piazza del Campo and the Duomo.

- Day 5
Monteriggione - San Gimignano - Florence
You'll leave Siena this morning and make your first stop in Monteriggione, where you can walk through the medieval village and check out the old cobbled streets surrounded by ancient walls. From there, it's on to San Gimignano, known for those distinctive tall medieval towers that define the skyline. After grabbing lunch, you'll continue toward Florence and arrive in the early afternoon, giving you time to settle in and get oriented before evening.

- Day 6
Florence
Begin with a photo stop at the Michelangelo viewpoint where you'll get great views of the city spread out below. From there, walk down into Florence's historic center for a guided tour that covers the Gothic Duomo di Firenze, the Ponte Vecchio bridge (lined with goldsmith shops if you're interested in browsing), and Piazza della Signoria where the medieval town hall sits. Once the guided portion wraps up, you'll have free time to wander around on your own and check out whatever catches your interest.

- Day 7
Pisa - Sestri Levante - Monte Carlo - Nice
Leave Florence heading to Pisa where you'll have time to see the famous Leaning Tower and the area around it. Then travel along the scenic Italian Riviera to Sestri Levante, a seaside resort town where you can grab lunch and stroll around. Continue to Monte Carlo mid-afternoon to visit the historic casino, then proceed to Nice, arriving around 8:00 p.m.

- Day 8
Saint-Maxime - Saint-Tropez - Marseille
After breakfast, take a short panoramic coach tour of Nice, driving along the Promenade des Anglais, Massena Square, and the old port. Head to Saint-Maxime to walk through the historic center and port area with the 16th-century Square Tower. Board a scenic boat to cross the bay to Saint-Tropez, where you can check out the old fishing port (now full of luxury yachts) and have lunch. Continue to Marseille in the afternoon to explore the lively Vieux Port.

- Day 9
Avignon - Pont du Gard - Barcelona
Explore Provence starting with Aix-en-Provence, hometown of painter Paul Cezanne, where you'll wander through the historic center with narrow streets, fountains, and squares. Continue to Avignon, a walled city on the Rhone River for a walk and lunch. You'll also visit the Pont du Gard, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and famous Roman monument with admission included. The journey heads toward Catalonia, and you'll arrive in Barcelona by evening.

- Day 10
Barcelona
In the morning, take an included panoramic tour of Barcelona. You'll see Gaudi's modernist architecture and the lively Ramblas, plus landmarks from past World Expositions and Olympic Games. The tour ends at Maremagnum, a modern shopping and dining complex by the sea near Columbus Square. Spend the afternoon at leisure before returning to your hotel.

- Day 11
Peniscola - Valencia - Madrid
Travel south along the Mediterranean with a stop in Peniscola, a walled coastal town where you can take a stroll. Continue to Valencia, arriving around lunchtime to try the famous paella. Around 4:30 p.m., head toward Madrid with a brief stop at Valencia's City of Arts and Sciences. Arrive in Madrid between 8:30 and 9:00 p.m., then transfer to Plaza Mayor to enjoy pinchos or wine at a restaurant there.

- Day 12
Madrid
Start with a comprehensive tour of central Madrid covering Paseo del Prado, Cibeles, Neptuno, Puerta de Alcala, Plaza de Colon, and Plaza Mayor. Visit Retiro Park, a peaceful area in the city center where you'll see the lake and Palacio de Cristal. Admission is included to Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, home of Real Madrid. The rest of the afternoon is free to spend how you like, with a transfer back to the hotel in the evening.
