London
Start with a guided city tour that takes you through Westminster, Parliament, and along the Thames while you see the City. The afternoon opens up for you to do your own thing, though there's an optional trip to Windsor and its castle if you're interested. Later in the evening, meet up at Piccadilly for a walk through Leicester Square, Chinatown, and Soho before heading back to the hotel by bus.

You have a completely free day to wander through London however you'd like. Take your time checking out different neighborhoods and finding what appeals to you.

- Day 4
London - Cambridge - York - Durham
Head north from London to Cambridge and take time to see the colleges there. After lunch, continue on to York where you can walk around the cathedral, the old Roman walls, and the busy shopping streets with time to explore properly. Later push further north to Durham, a medieval town that sits nicely with its cathedral overlooking the castle.

Durham - Alnwick - Edinburgh
Travel into Scotland with a stop in Alnwick, known for its gardens and medieval castle (you might recognize it from Harry Potter). Then head to Edinburgh, arriving around midday. Take a panoramic tour with a local guide through Scotland's capital, which sits under the watchful eye of its famous castle.

Edinburgh - Inverness - Loch Ness - Fort Augustus - Glasgow
Start your day in the Scottish Highlands with coffee and a walk around Pitlochry. You'll pass near Inverness and Loch Ness, then visit Urquhart Castle before taking a boat out on the loch. Keep going past Fort Augustus and Fort William at the base of Ben Nevis, then drive through high plateaus and along Loch Lomond's shoreline before arriving in Glasgow by evening.

Dublin
Start with a panoramic tour of Dublin that takes you along the River Liffey, through parks, past the historic university, and into the vibrant downtown. You'll see the outside of Trinity College. The rest of the afternoon is yours to spend however you want around the city.

Then head south to the Rock of Cashel, a medieval fortress with real significance in Irish history. Arrive in Cork by evening and take a stroll through the city center.

Start out for Kinsale with a stop at Charles Fort, a 17th-century fortress with great ocean views. Spend time in Kinsale itself, one of the nicer coastal towns around. Later head to Killarney for lunch and a look around. Take a traditional jaunting car ride through the national park where you'll see gardens and the lake, plus a short boat ride. Stop in Adare to see the stone cottages and abbey ruins. You'll reach Limerick mid-afternoon with time to explore the city center.

Continue to Caherconnell where you might catch sheep herding in action. Head to the Cliffs of Moher overlooking the ocean, and there's the option to walk up to O'Brien's Tower. Travel through Burren National Park with its interesting landscapes before arriving in Galway.

Head to Cong, a village set in a beautiful lake area. Check out the Royal Abbey ruins and walk around Ashford Castle, a medieval castle that's now a hotel. Continue to Clonmacnoise for a guided tour of the Celtic monastic ruins. Then travel to Dublin, arriving in the evening.

Board a ferry early in the morning for a three to three and a half hour journey to Wales. Your first stop is Caernarfon, a seaside World Heritage Site with an impressive castle dominating the scene. You'll have time for lunch and a walk around. Then head to Liverpool for a short bus tour of this World Heritage port city, the second-largest in the United Kingdom.

Travel to Stratford on the River Avon, Shakespeare's birthplace, where you can optionally visit his birth house. Continue through nice countryside to Stow on the Wold, a charming village with stone buildings, a picturesque square, art galleries, and antique shops. Head to Gloucester for lunch at the docks and check out the historic center with its cathedral (Harry Potter fans might recognize it from filming). End the day in Bath, known for its hot springs and Georgian buildings with the option to see the Roman baths.

Stop in Salisbury for lunch in its medieval center and see the cathedral with England's tallest spire. Head back to London, arriving by the end of the day.
