Copenhagen
You'll arrive in Copenhagen and get transferred to your hotel. After settling in, the afternoon is yours to relax. Stop by the front desk to check the information boards for details about when the tour officially starts tomorrow.

Gedser - Rostock - Szczecin
Following breakfast, head down to Gedser at Scandinavia's southernmost point and board a modern ferry across the Baltic Sea to Rostock, Germany (about two hours). Walk through Rostock's old town to see the Market Square, City Hall, and St. Mary's Church. Then drive through Pomerania into Poland, arriving in Szczecin by evening. You'll have time to stroll through the historic center with the Pomeranian Dukes' Castle and the riverside terraces.

After breakfast, travel through western Poland's quieter regions. Stop in Bydgoszcz to check out the architecture, parks, and canals that connect the Vistula and Oder rivers. Grab lunch before heading to Torun, a walled Gothic city and UNESCO World Heritage Site where you can visit Copernicus's birthplace and museum-house if you'd like. Continue on to Warsaw, arriving by evening.

Warsaw
