- Day 1
Arrival in Negombo
You'll land at Bandaranaike International Airport where a Ranlanka Tour Holidays representative will meet you. From there, it's a transfer to Negombo, the coastal town where you'll spend your first evening. Check out the fishing heritage, the Dutch Fort (a colonial landmark that's still standing strong), and the Negombo Lagoon before heading to your hotel for the night.

Negombo to Sigiriya
After breakfast, you're heading inland to Sigiriya to see the Lion Rock Fortress, which rises 200 meters above the plains. The climb takes you past ancient palace remnants, water gardens, and vibrant frescoes at the summit. Later in the afternoon, you'll stop at nearby Pidurangala Rock for views of Sigiriya, then transfer to Habarana where you'll stay the night.

Sigiriya to Namal Uyana via Dambulla
Starting early, you'll transfer to Namal Uyana in the Knuckles Mountain Range, home to Asia's largest Ironwood Forest and the Rose Quartz Mountain Range. You'll explore this natural area, and then continue on to the Dambulla Cave Temple, which is on the UNESCO list. Inside you'll find 157 Buddha statues and about 2,100 square meters of murals. You'll settle into your Dambulla hotel that evening.

Dambulla to Kandy
From breakfast, you're driving to Kandy, Sri Lanka's cultural heart in the central highlands. The Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic is your first stop, then you'll walk around Kandy Lake. The Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens come next (they have over 4,000 plant species), and by evening you'll catch a Kandy Cultural Show with traditional dance and drumming performances.

- Day 5
Kandy to Knuckles Mountain Range (Heeloya Village Trek)
Leaving early from Kandy, you're doing a guided trek through Heeloya Village in the Knuckles Mountain Range UNESCO World Heritage Site. You'll walk past pine forests, tea plantations, waterfalls, and rice fields. Along the way you'll interact with villagers, help harvest vegetables, and participate in preparing a traditional home-cooked lunch before heading back to Kandy in the afternoon.

- Day 7
Nuwara Eliya to Horton Plains, then to Ella
You're departing very early to explore Horton Plains National Park at 2,100 meters. The hike takes you to World's End cliff, which has a 900-meter drop, and you'll pass Baker's Falls and misty cloud forests. From there, you continue to Ella village, stop at the Nine Arches Bridge (a colonial railway structure), and settle into your Ella hotel.
