Itinerary
- Day 1
Arrival in Mirissa
After arriving at Bandaranaike International Airport, you'll be transferred to Mirissa on the southern coast. Depending on when you land, there's a chance to stop at Weligama Fisherman's Bay and see the traditional fishing methods if timing works out. Once you reach Mirissa, the afternoon is yours to settle in, walk around town, or spend time on the beach. Water activities like snorkeling and diving are available if you're interested. Your guide meets you at 7 PM to go over plans for tomorrow.

Whale Watching and Beach Exploration
You'll head out early on the water for whale and dolphin watching off Mirissa's coast, where Blue Whales, Sperm Whales, and dolphins come through regularly. After the boat tour wraps up, you'll head to Unawatuna beach to walk around the golden sand and clear water. From there, it's on to Weligama to catch the iconic stilt fishermen balancing on poles while fishing. Back at your hotel by evening, your guide meets you at 7 PM.

Bentota Via Galle, Meetiyagoda, Ambalangoda, and Balapitiya
After breakfast, you'll depart for Bentota with stops along the way. Galle Fort comes first, a UNESCO World Heritage site with Dutch-era walls and buildings worth checking out. Next is Meetiyagoda where you can explore moonstone mines and learn how these gemstones form. Ambalangoda is the next stop to see mask-making at the Marks Factory. Then a boat safari through the Madu River's mangroves and a turtle hatchery visit. You'll arrive in Bentota with time to relax on the beach before your guide meets you at 7 PM.

Bentota
The day focuses on Bentota's history and culture. You'll visit Galapatha Viharaya, one of five old temples in the area, and cross the Bentota Palama bridge. Lunuganga, an estate with gardens designed by architect Geoffrey Bawa, is next on the itinerary. A city tour follows so you can check out local attractions and pick up souvenirs. By afternoon you'll be back on Bentota beach to rest before meeting your guide at 7 PM to discuss the final day.

Colombo
Start with a Colombo city tour hitting key spots like the Colombo Water Temple and Galle Face Green with its ocean views. The Old Parliament House and Galle Face Hotel (one of Sri Lanka's oldest) get a brief visit. From there, based on your flight time, you'll be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport, which is about 4 hours from Colombo, to head home.
