- Day 1
Colombo
You'll arrive at Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport and get transferred to your hotel. Check-in starts at 14:00, though you can request early check-in if rooms are available. Use the rest of the day to settle in and get oriented to your surroundings.

Sigiriya
After breakfast, head to the Negombo Fish Market to see the early morning activity with colorful fishing boats and fresh catch. From there, you'll transfer to Sigiriya for a hike up the 5th-century rock fortress. The climb takes you past ancient frescoes, the Mirror Wall, and the famous lion's paws before you reach the summit for views across the landscape. You'll have free time in the afternoon to rest and recover.

Minneriya - Sigiriya
Following breakfast, transfer to Polonnaruwa to see the ancient second kingdom with its well-kept ruins like the Gal Vihara Buddha statues, Royal Palace, and Sacred Quadrangle. Later, head to Minneriya National Park for an afternoon safari where you might spot sambar deer, leopards, and elephants around the Minneriya Tank. Then drive back to Sigiriya for the evening.

Kandy
Start with breakfast and then transfer to Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with five cave shrines containing over 150 Buddha statues and murals from the 1st century BC. You'll climb up for countryside views from the top. After that, head to Kandy to visit the Temple of the Tooth Relic and walk around the peaceful Kandy Lake.

Kandy to Ella
After breakfast, you'll board a scenic vintage train from Kandy heading toward Nuwara Eliya and on to Ella. It's one of the most memorable train journeys in the region, so sit back and take in the scenery throughout the day.

Ella
Following breakfast, take a short hike to Little Adam's Peak for views of the surrounding terrain. Then go to the Nine Arch Bridge to try to catch a train passing through it. You can add on a zip line experience if you want more adventure. By evening, you'll have time to explore Ella's restaurants and cafes where there's live music and good food.

Ella to Unawatuna

Galle

Later in the afternoon, head to Unawatuna Beach to unwind with the palm trees, beach cafes, and sandy shoreline.
