- Day 1
Cape Town
You'll arrive in Cape Town and check into your hotel in Sea Point. An optional orientation tour kicks off at 12:30pm if you're interested, walking through Bo-Kaap, Castle of Good Hope, City Hall and Company's Garden. Later there's a welcome meeting followed by dinner at an authentic South African restaurant.

Cape Peninsula
This morning you'll start at Maiden's Cove viewpoint, then take a boat cruise out to Duiker Island to see Cape Fur Seals. From there you'll drive Chapman's Peak Drive and head into Cape Point Nature Reserve. Stop by Boulders Beach to see African penguins, grab lunch in Simon's Town, then the rest of the day is yours to do as you like.

- Day 3
Cape Town to Riebeek Valley
After breakfast you'll ride the aerial cable car up to Table Mountain top and walk some scenic trails with great views. The drive to the Winelands region takes around 2 hours. You'll visit Babylonstoren Vineyard for a cellar tour, lunch and wine tastings. In the afternoon there's olive tasting at Kloovenburg Estate before you arrive at a historic hotel in Riebeek Valley for the evening.

Riebeek Valley to Cederberg
You're heading towards the Cederberg region with a stop at Org De Rac Organic Wine Estate for wine tasting. Next you'll visit the Carmien Tea Shop for the Rooibos Experience, which includes a guided walk through rooibos fields, a presentation, tasting, and tea blending activity. You'll arrive at Piekenierskloof lodge in the Cederberg Mountains by evening.

Cederberg
This is your day to explore the Cederberg on your own schedule. There are marked hiking trails available, including a scenic 3.7-kilometre circular trail with three viewpoints. Maps and assistance are at reception. If you want, you can visit a neighbouring vineyard for Grenache wine tasting or just relax at the lodge pools.

You're traveling to Oudtshoorn, known as the ostrich capital. The route takes you through Worcester, Robertson, Montagu and Barrydale (lunch stop). You'll arrive at a country manor at the foot of the Swartberg Mountains where you'll stay for 2 nights.

Oudtshoorn
This morning you'll visit the Cango Caves on a guided heritage walk through the grand halls, chambers, stalagmites and stalactites, including the African Drum Room. Later you'll tour an ostrich farm to learn about their life cycle and behaviour. A sunset tour through Swartberg Pass with guide commentary on flora, fauna and geology follows, with a sundowner break. Dinner is a traditional country affair at Kobus se Gat featuring African braai, music and dancing.

Oudtshoorn to Sedgefield
You'll travel about 110 kilometres to the coastal town of Sedgefield. After settling in, there's a guided walk at Goukamma Nature Reserve to explore indigenous fynbos vegetation with a knowledgeable guide. Mid-afternoon brings a relaxing river cruise on the Hoogekraal and Karatara Rivers where you can watch birds and nature. Your evening is free to check out local restaurants.

Sedgefield to Knysna
You'll take a relaxed morning before heading to Knysna, a charming coastal town. There's time to walk around the Knysna Waterfront and check out independent shops, cafés, galleries and restaurants. A leisurely cruise on Knysna Lagoon takes you towards the Knysna Heads with spectacular coastal views. You'll sample the famous Knysna oysters on board (wine and soft drinks included), then return to Sedgefield for dinner.

Sedgefield to St Francis Bay
After breakfast you're heading towards St Francis Bay with a stop at Storms River Mouth in Tsitsikamma National Park for a refreshing 2-kilometre hike across a 77-metre-long suspension bridge. You'll settle into your accommodation and unwind. A sunset canal cruise with insights into the local Chokka squid heritage comes later, followed by dinner to bid farewell to the Garden Route.

St Francis Bay to Kruger National Park
You'll take a short drive to Port Elizabeth in the morning and board a flight to Johannesburg. After customs and collecting luggage, you'll drive inland through South Africa's heartland toward Kruger National Park, a 5 to 6 hour journey. The landscape shifts to wide-open plains, acacia trees and bushveld with regular stops to stretch your legs. You'll arrive at camp in the late afternoon, relax by the pool or bar, and have an early night since safari starts tomorrow.

- Day 12
Kruger National Park
You'll rise early at 5:30am for a full day of game driving in open-sided safari vehicles with a local guide. You'll stop at various watering holes searching for buffalo, antelope and potentially the Big Five (lion, leopard, rhino, elephant, cape buffalo). Mid-day there's a lunch break at a park restaurant or café. The afternoon safari continues before you head back to the lodge in early evening.

Mejejane Game Reserve
An early morning walking safari in the private Mejejane Game Reserve gets you out with qualified guides and rangers to spot early risers. Your guides will identify tracks, droppings and signs for a better safari experience. The afternoon brings another game drive within the reserve, potentially focusing on elusive wildlife like honey badger, black rhino and eland based on what you've seen. You'll return to camp for a celebratory farewell boma dinner.

You'll depart around 7am for the drive back to Johannesburg through Mpumalanga's uplands. Several viewpoints are on the itinerary, including God's Window and Blyde River Canyon. You should arrive at O.R. Tambo International Airport around 3pm where your tour ends.
